    Cashier

    Job Summary

    • The Cashier is responsible for receiving and processing cash payments via debit or credit and checking transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system.
    • Receiving payments and issuing receipts, keeping track of all cash and credit transactions, balancing the cash register, making changes and recording all transactions.

    Key Result Areas (KRA)

    • Post customer payments by recording cash, cheques and credit card transactions on the EMR
    • Prepare bills for In-patients.
    • Manage an accurate and up-to-date hospital income record by sending and receiving bank cheques and documenting all relevant transactions.
    • Prepare regular (Daily) cash flow reports for management review.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all patients’ financial information.
    • Petty cash management and disbursement.
    • Present the payment status of every patient in our monthly IVF batch
    • Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every patient.
    • Assist in the enforcement of stringent credit policies; routinely call patients who extend
    • Entering daily expenses in the expenses tracker
    • Accurately credit client/patient accounts and debit the cash or cheque.
    • Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
    • Acting as a point of contact for all external financial issues.

    The Person

    • Minimum academic qualification of an OND in Business, Finance, and Accounting, Economics or any related degree.
    • Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Working knowledge of accounting and financial concepts and practices.
    • Full working Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package is required especially with spreadsheet software (Excel).
    • Excellent communication and people management skills.
    • Exceptional oral, written and presentation skills are required for this role.

    Customer Service Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Customer Service Officer will be responsible for building a strong health information Centre that will ensure prompt service to patients, and also ensure timely, accurate and complete documentation of all patient records as well as their protection and confidentiality in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, professional standards and best practice

    Job Qualifications

    • Minimum academic qualification of OND in Management / Administration or Public Relations
    • 1-2 years relevant work experience in a similar role.
    • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
    • Experience in providing customer service support
    • Proficiency in English
    • Strong client-facing and communication skills
    • Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

    Key Result Areas (KRA)
    The key result areas of this role are:

    • Greeting customers in a friendly, and professional manner using the suggested script.
    • Answering telephone, e-mail and physical inquiries in a timely and friendly manner.
    • Assist patients with filling out patient history forms, consent forms and payment contract forms
    • Deferring queries to your line manager if you are unable to answer them.
    • Sending patient’s data to nurses for vital signs
    • Giving directions to patients, patient’s relatives, vendors etc.
    • Inform patients about delays or wait times
    • Update and verify patient information at every visit
    • Scheduling patient appointments and making reminder calls to patients.
    • Updating of patient files before posting
    • Identity check of patients
    • Sending of daily report of activities carried out to line manager.
