    Chief Electrician / Programmer

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the safety Management System & Electrical Operations of all appliances on the Rig which report should be sent to the Rig Operations Manager for management review during his/her stay on the Rig.
    • Prepare comprehensive hand over report stating the conditions of all drilling equipment, electrical and programming updates, publications, manuals etc. at the end of his/her rotation.
    • Daily/Monthly engagement of the Rig for proper hygiene and complete checklist with electrical safety measures sent to the Rig Operations Manager.
    • Stability calculation of the Rig must be done as required.
    • Responsible for Electrical, Programming and Monitoring records of the Rig's electrical appliances, capability plots, comparing footprints with previous prints and records maintained on the Rig and carrying out daily risk assessment for specific operations as required with the records on board.
    • Implementation of equipment's competency assessment and appraisal for Rig site and Rig base safety.
    • Maintain all electrical components of the Top Drive System (TDS) e.g. Electrical motors.
    • Take responsibility for the rigging up/down of TDS, TDS power cable/service loops, and TDS functionality test.
    • Any other job(s) that may be assigned from time to time.

    Educational Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum of HND in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years demonstratable progressive experience/knowledge as Chief Electrician in an oil and gas drilling company.

    Professional Qualification/Certification:

    • Any relevant competency certificate
    • Must be a certified Engineer (COREN) Person Specification
    • Must be technically savvy and can troubleshoot.
    • Must have big picture and growth mindset: enjoys and seeks out new challenges that stretches and yields result
    • Recognizes the value of diverse perspectives; relies o debate and discussion to challenge their own views an the status quo.
    • Must be a person of unimpeachable character.
    • Must be a person with excellent business acumen an managerial judgement.

    Chief Mechanic

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Comply with the established standard equipmen maintenance procedure and schedule.
    • Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs of ri equipment (motors, pumps, diesel engines, a compressors, pumps, Draw works, Top drive system Rotary table etc.) in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Work with the Maintenance Manager to plan and schedul preventive maintenance programs.
    • Take inventory of, and proactively order/request for critica mechanical spares to avoid stock out situation unnecessary work delays and prolonged equipmer downtime.
    • Ensure that all maintenance and service reports an accurately documented and filed.
    • Participate in developing maintenance budget for asse maintenance and management and ensure effectiv costing & budgeting of all maintenance activities.
    • Repair and keep equipment available to prevent downtim
    • Cut down on redundancies and inefficiencies in you function and ensure strict adherence to budget.
    • Ensure that all operational and equipment failure reports are completed, accurate and forwarded to Maintenance Manager.
    • Supervise, train and motivate maintenance personnel/team members.
    • Adhere to QHSE policies and procedures and comply with safe work rules for the achievement of Goal Zero objective.
    • Perform any other function as may be assigned by your Line Manager.

    Educational Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum of HND in Mechanical Engineering with a Minimum of 10 years demonstratable progressive experience/knowledge as Chief Mechanic in an oil and gas drilling company.

    Top Drive System (TDS) Engineer

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Responsible for Top Drive System Management & Top Drive Operation on the Rig for which a report shall be sent to the Rig Operations Manager (at a time interval to be determined by the Rig Operations Manager) for Management review during his stay on board.
    • Oversee, conduct maintenance, and repair the Top Drive Equipment on rigs in areas of operations.
    • Provide technical support to drilling operations personnel.
    • Troubleshoot Top Drive performance issues.
    • Perform equipment inspection and evaluate daily maintenance.
    • Maintain an accurate log of work completed on the unit(s).
    • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with Operations Department.
    • Assist in training Rig personnel in Top Drive maintenance and operational procedures.
    • Daily/Monthly engagement of the Rig for proper hygiene and the completed check list with Top Drive safety measures sent to the Rig Operations Manager and the Head office.
    • Implementation of equipment's competency assessment and appraisal for deck and engine room safety.
    • Any other job(s) that may be assigned from time to time.
