A Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients at an establishment that serves food, processing customer orders, producing meals and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines. Cooks follow recipes consistently, make adjustments based on customer requests, communicate with wait staff and prepare garnishes to make an attractive presentation for each meal.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods

- Occasionally serve food

- Conduct daily routine inspection of facilities to drive the proactive identification of potential faults and stop them before failure;
- Identify or receive faults and analyse to identify root cause and resolve;
- Escalate issues to supervisor as required;

Job Summary
The Restaurant supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a small army of Restaurant and kitchen staff and overseeing the day to day running of the eatery and kitchen, including cleaning the equipment, checking supplies and rotating food stock.
