    Marketing and Communications Assistant

    Job Summary

    • The Marketing and Communications Assistant will support the Marketing and Communications Lead in managing all promotional activities for the agriculture conference.
    • This role involves coordinating social media, email campaigns, press releases, and other marketing efforts before and after the event to maximize visibility and engagement.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in developing and executing a comprehensive marketing and communication plan for the conference across various platforms, including social media, email, and press.
    • Manage social media accounts, creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments and messages.
    • Support the creation and distribution of email campaigns, newsletters, and other digital communications to promote the conference and engage with the audience.
    • Assist in drafting and distributing press releases, media advisories, and other public relations materials.
    • Coordinate with the graphic design team to develop promotional materials, including flyers, banners, and digital content.
    • Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
    • Maintain and update the conference website with the latest information, including speakers, agenda, and registration details.
    • Monitor media coverage and compile press clippings and reports for post-event evaluation.
    • Assist in managing the conference’s public relations activities, including liaising with media contacts and handling press inquiries.
    • Support the creation of post-event content, including thank-you emails, social media posts, and event recaps.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in marketing, communications, or public relations is preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail.
    • Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp).
    • Experience with content creation, including copywriting and basic graphic design.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools is a plus.
    • Creativity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    Operations Assistant

    Job Summary

    • The Operations Assistant will work closely with the Conference Director to support the planning, coordination, and execution of the upcoming agriculture conference.
    • This role involves assisting in managing logistics, operations, and program development to ensure a smooth and successful event.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the Conference Director in coordinating all aspects of conference planning, including logistics, operations, and program management.
    • Support the development and implementation of the conference schedule, ensuring timely communication with speakers, panellists, and vendors.
    • Coordinate logistics, including venue setup, transportation, accommodation, catering, and audiovisual requirements.
    • Manage and track conference materials, including invitations, badges, and promotional items.
    • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery and setup of all conference-related services.
    • Assist in managing the registration process, including tracking attendee information and ensuring accurate records.
    • Monitor and respond to inquiries related to the conference, providing excellent customer service to attendees and stakeholders.
    • Support on-site event management, including troubleshooting any issues that arise and ensuring smooth operations during the conference.
    • Assist in post-event evaluations, gathering feedback, and preparing reports on the conference’s success.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.
    • Previous experience in event planning, logistics, or operations management is preferred.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software.
    • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
