    Research Analyst

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Building and updating models, publishing relevant seasonal & offseason reports and supervising younger analysts in the team
    • He or she will also be the first line reviewer for research reports and report to the Head of Research.
    • Analyzing past operations' results and performing variance analyses.
    • Identifying and analyzing trends and forecasts and recommending improvements to the business processes.
    • Researching market trends, conducting surveys, analyzing data from competitors, and analyzing the business's operations, expenditures, and customer retention to identify patterns of potential issues or improvements.
    • Using data analysis and interpretations to guide the decision-making of the business.
    • Using operations data to develop pricing models and identify areas for improvement.
    • Using statistical, economic, and data modeling techniques and tools.
    • Organizing and analyzing data, creating charts and graphs, and presenting your findings to the leadership team.
    • Providing recommendations to improve future business operations.

    REQUIREMENTS 

    • A bachelor's or associate's degree in economics, finance, statistics, computer science, or related field.
    • Experienced Banking Sector Analyst with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the role
    • Strong mathematical, analytical, and data modeling skills.
    • The ability to manipulate large, complex data sets into manageable, understandable reports.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team-working skills.
    • Familiarity with data modeling software and Excel software.

    Proprietary Trader

    Responsibilities 

    • Strategizing with brokers and other traders for optimal trading 
    • Identifying and managing risk in trade portfolios 
    • Maximize trading opportunities in the market 
    • Ability to make quick decisions based on policy reforms and changes in the market 
    • Ensure compliance with all internal, statutory and regulatory rules.
    • To report to MD, CSS 
    • Excellent communication skills 
    • Coordinate other members of the PTD team 
    • Good analytical skills 
    • Ability to work in a team.

    Requirements 

    • Minimum of BSC/HND in related discipline.  
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PROPRIETARY TRADER
    • Must possess Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers' certificate 
    • Must be trading personally (risk taker)

    Head of Legal and Company Secretary

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Manage records of contracts & other legal documents deposited with the legal team for safekeeping.
    • Provide legal advice and guidance in all matters concerning the laws and regulations governing the Group, its staff, legal structure(s), and the conduct of its operations and transactions conducted by departments. 
    • Supervise comprehensive due diligence prior to investments where necessary.
    • When necessary, defend and settle disputes and litigation involving the Group and liaise with external lawyers as required.
    • Conduct legal research prior to effecting corporate changes and potential exits and conduct external counsel in this regard.
    • Organise, prepare agendas for, and take minutes of board meetings, Board Committee Meetings, and general meetings (AGMs).
    • Maintain statutory books, including registers of members, Directors, and secretaries, and ensure that corporate regulatory filings are up to date.
    • Research documents and case history to ensure the accuracy of legal advice and procedures.
    • Keep up to date with changes and developments in the law by reading journals and attending relevant programs.
    • Ensure that the company complies with its Memorandum and Articles of Association and applicable corporate governance policies.
    • Provide adequate guidance to the board on their responsibilities and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
    • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and advise management on appropriate action.
    • Liaise with relevant government and regulatory authorities, where required.
    • Participate in industry-focus groups including the Nigerian Bar Association Corporate Counsel sections.
    • Participate in disciplinary committee meetings and provide legal counsel on approaches and recommendations.
    • Provide legal counsel to the respective departments within the company and review all presented documents that have legal implications prior to signing by any company representative.
    • Provide support to the compliance team on all regulatory matters, where required.
    • Propose and/or implement innovative ideas to enhance business results in the firm.
    • Act as a leader and mentor to junior employees in the firm.
    • Manage other activities as delegated by Management.
    • Supervise and coach junior members of the team.

    REQUIREMENTS 

    • Bachelor’s degree in law and must have been called to bar.
    • A minimum of 8 years post NYSC experience in a law firm or the legal unit of a financial services company.
    • A master's degree and ISCAN is an added advantage.
    • The ideal candidate should possess Business communication analytical skills. 
    • Ability to process documents and applications with regulatory bodies.
    • Ability to understand the various sectors in CFS and relevant regulations.
    • Ability to understand the various dispute resolution methods in Nigeria.
    • Ability to engage with regulators and investigative bodies.
