    Physical and Health Education Teacher

    We seek to hire experienced Secondary School Teachers for P E. We are looking for bright and enthusiastic teachers to teach the Secondary School Program (Year 7-11) and tutor learners. Teachers must possess the following 3 attributes

    • Able to inspire pupils to learn
    • Are positive and enthusiastic
    • Patient and engaging.

    Responsibility:

    • To plan and implement well-structured and progressive programmes that meet the needs of all learners. The programmes will link the school and the wider community and will aim to provide increased opportunities for learners to participate in sport and physical activity.
    • To plan and deliver a range of sporting activities and to have a focus on out of school hours sporting activities.
    • Health and Safety checks on a daily, weekly and annual basis.
    • To organise inter-school and intra-school sporting competitions.
    • Maintain appropriate records, including digital records and prepare monitoring reports to show progress.
    • Demonstrate a highly professional approach to everyday work and work independently demonstrating initiative and pro-activity
    • To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage learners to participate in sport and physical activity.
    • To carry out duties in accordance with the school’s policies, including equal opportunities, child protection, health and safety at work.
    • Contribute to the assessment of learners’ progress and the maintenance of appropriate records
    • Organize and lead a range of after school clubs.

    Geography/Tourism Teacher

    Job Summary:

    Create, manage, and participate in the learning environment and activities that allow students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives.
    This teacher will work with faculty members, teachers, and school leaders to create instructional resources and build skills with students across the classrooms, provide lesson plans, and collaborate with teachers on how to create a learning environment where every student can reach their maximum potential and become successful in life.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of skills.
    • Preparing and distributing learning materials such as notes, articles, audio-visual content, assignments, quizzes, etc.
    • Delivering personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
    • Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons.
    • Supervising classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
    • Grading assignments and quizzes promptly.
    • Using students’ data to monitor student learning, adjusting classroom practices, and improving students’ performance
    • Invigilating quizzes and final examinations.
    • Documenting and reporting students' progress.
    • Ensuring classrooms are clean and orderly.
    • Attending meetings with parents and staff.
    • Fluency in concepts and subject areas of study
    • Inspiring students with high academic, regulation standards, etc.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Education; B.Ed, M.Ed.
    • BSc with PGDE in specified or related subjects.
    • A minimum of 5 years experience as a Geography/Tourism teacher.
    • A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Organized, flexible disposition.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
    • Endlessly patient, adaptable, and calm under pressure.
    • Kind, humble, and collaborative.
    • Knowledge of Cambridge Standard will be an added advantage.
    • An Education qualification/certification is highly preferred

    ICT Teacher

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans that align with the national curriculum for Computer Science.
    • Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters a love of technology and computational thinking in students.
    • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, coding projects, and discussions, to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Effectively assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth.
    • Stay current with the latest advancements in computer science and integrate them into the curriculum as appropriate.
    • Lead and participate in the development and implementation of the school's computer science program.

    Requirements:

    • A degree in relevant field or equivalent teaching qualification in Computer Science or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in an International secondary school setting, preferably in Computer Science.
    • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for Computer Science.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
    • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
    • Passion for coding, robotics, and mobile application development.
    • Experience with popular coding languages and platforms (e.g., Python, Scratch, Java) is a strong plus.
    • Experience leading or participating in extracurricular robotics or coding programs is an added advantage.

    Maintenance Officer

    Job Role:

    A School Maintenance Officer is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of a school's physical facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.

    Responsibilities

    • Inspect school buildings and grounds regularly to identify maintenance needs
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing plumbing, and painting
    • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance work
    • Conduct regular inspections of fire safety equipment and systems, such as fire alarms
    • Respond to emergency maintenance requests, such as power outages
    • Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance work
    • Collaborate with other school staff, such as administrators and teachers, to ensure that maintenance work does not disrupt educational activities
    • Organize and perform small construction improvement projects as directed (eg.paths, basic carpentry and concrete work as required)
    • Assist and coordinate maintenance, both reactive and proactive, for all facilities and equipment.
    • Ensure appropriate registration and maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
    • Co-ordinate all scheduled compliance works (eg. tag and test of equipment, emergency lighting).
    • Assist with the running of events as required, particularly with setup and pack-down of equipment as directed by the school management.
    • Ability to handle electrical, plumbing and carpentry issues
    • Supervise cleaners and ensure the facility is always clean
    • Supervise the gardeners and ensure the flowers and field are neat and trimmed properly

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
    • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar role
    • Proven ability to work unsupervised, meet deadlines and set priorities.
    • Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality appropriately.
    • Safe use of a range of machinery and equipment.
    • Proactive mindset and ability to implement routines to ensure ongoing upkeep of facilities
    • Detailed knowledge of maintenance and storage of motorized equipment such as generators.
    • Possess excellent leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Knowledgeable about safety regulations and possess.
    • Ability to supervise a team of support staff
    • Ability to accept the role immediately
