    Portfolio Risk Officer

    Job Summary 

    • The Portfolio Risk Officer shall actively monitor, assess and report risk factor variables in a prioritized manner as they impact our operational and credit risk activities.
    • Trend tracking, risk registering, risk scoring and risk reporting shall be a central focus of all job functions. In addition, the officer shall understand risks associated with all product portfolios and create corresponding reports on portfolio age analysis, and portfolio value erosion/creation directly related to the time value of account receivables documenting the same accordingly to present to the line manager.
    • He/she is also responsible for monitoring the accurate and timely reporting of all receivable repayments into the enterprise software system.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Client Experience Management Unit Leads sheet provision
    • Credit Bureau Reporting – BiWeekly
    • Credit Bureau Reports updates – Daily
    • Credit Bureau Report validation response
    • Validation and Comparison of Bank statement report and Bank ledger report (for recovery and collections unit)
    • All ERP reports are validated by comparison of values of the same variables amongst different reports.
    • Collections postings log report Portfolio performance trend charting and recording
    •  Protracted periods (3 years and above)
    • Support research into business expertise areas
    • Validation of collections weekly report with bank ledger report
    • Monitoring of portfolio age analysis
    • Credit risk register and risk score card recording/reporting

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • A Bachelor's Degree
    • Minimum of 1-year working experience in any data management or similar field
    • Good understanding of industry laws and regulations
    • Ability to present and communicate analysis and recommendations
    • Ability for quick comprehension and summarization of large data for dynamic reporting.

    • Data Visualization and Reporting:
      • Learn to create basic visualizations, charts, and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate findings effectively.
      • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports summarizing analysis results for stakeholders.
    • Documentation and Documentation:
      • Maintain accurate documentation of data sources, methodologies, and analysis procedures.
      • Learn to write clear and concise documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
    • Continuous Learning and Development:
      • Actively participate in training programs, workshops, and self-study to enhance technical skills and knowledge of data analysis techniques.
      • Seek feedback from senior team members and incorporate learnings into professional development activities.

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital strategy development and execution, with a proven track record of driving digital transformation in a complex organization.
    • Experience in the finance industry or a related field. They should have a deep understanding of the finance industry's digital landscape and be familiar with the latest digital trends and technologies.
    • Strong technical skills and be familiar with digital technologies, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
    • Strong leadership skills and be able to lead and motivate teams to achieve digital transformation objectives, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the organization.
    • Relevant certifications in digital technologies, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) will be an added advantage.

    Credit Underwriter

    Job Summary

    • The Underwriting Executive must be able to Underwrite the credit worthiness of customers in order to mitigate the overall risk of the company.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Reviewing and analyzing the creditworthiness of all potential customers based on risk criteria.
    • To evaluate all quantave details in the applications with a view to make objective decisions based on empirical facts from financial information evaluated.
    • Review applications for credit facilities to point out deviations from the company’s credit policy and highlight quality assurance issues in credit proposals received from business areas.
    • Performing various departmental functions including loan covenant monitoring, risk rang, audit preparation and recovery as assigned by HOD.
    • Ensure Credits requiring amendments are communicated to the business areas to amend as appropriate.
    • To evaluate all quantitative details in the applications to make objective decisions based on empirical facts from the financial information evaluated.
    • To communicate to the business areas the credit corners and the quality assurance issues for responses/resolutions.
    • Ensuring that all credit approvals and KYC are in place documentation is duly executed and that the company’s interest is well protected.
    • Conducting credit search (CRS & CRC Report) on credit bureau database.
    • Conducting Email Verification & preparing Transaction consumption reports.
    • Reviewing transactions for final checklist and approval.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 2 - 4 years relevant work experience.
