Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for repair and maintenance of all medical equipment.
• Taking inventory and keeping records of all medical equipment.
• Provide engineering support to the Clinical and Diagnostic Departments.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance inspections, commissions and tests in accordance with the departmental procedures.
• Carry out new medical equipment inspections and commission them, in accordance with the departmental procedures.
• Complete all new medical equipment Acceptance Forms and report any missing item(s).
• Prepare spare part requisitions as needed for equipment repairs.
• Ensure that the overall activities of equipment maintenance meet international best practices, patient safety, quality standards; environmental, government regulatory and legal stipulations.
• Facilitate, coordinate and monitor external parties contracted the maintenance and repairs of all hospital medical equipment under warranty or extended service contract.
• Coordinate and oversee the dialysis technician functions towards ensuring the unit maintain and meet up to best practices.
• .Coordinate and participate in I .C. U dialysis treatment

Education, Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelors degree in Life Sceinces, Medical Engineering, Electrical/Electronicsor related courses. Membership of related professional associationsis an advantage
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years work experience.
• Previous experience in a similar leadership position is a plus.

• Work closely with other medical personnel to ensure the completion of effective and safe procedures.
• Follow up with patients after completing a surgery to determine its success to ensure recuperation.
• Responding to medical questions andproviding clinical information.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
• The successful candidate must be aqualified Medical Doctor
• A minimum of three years post-NYSC work experience.
