    Process Operator - CHOCO, GDC, Soya & Porridge

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    To carry out effective operations of the process lines to achieve targeted production outputs while guaranteeing standard quality with minimum downtimes.

    THE JOB

    • Carry out effective operations of the process lines in order to produce standard quality products. This   involves compliance with standard SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) on start-ups, operations and shut downs of all process lines.
    • Carryout effective line clearance in preparation for production.
    • Carry out effective process control by constantly monitoring process variables against set points.
    • Receive instruction from the shift supervisors in respect of production schedule and planned maintenance.
    • Carry out cleaning of production equipment, floor and environs.
    • Update all process checklist including down time report and sign off.
    • Follow up on all outstanding process issues from previous shifts and ensure prompt resolution of same especially as regards downtimes and machine breakdown by liaising with the maintenance crew.
    • Prepare and update production report at the end of the shift.
    • Ensure that the process lines and all accessories are kept in a reasonable state of repairs and cleanliness through compliance with world class manufacturing practices.

    • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
    • Pay attention to details.

    QUALIFICATION

    • 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.
    • OND in engineering or science related discipline.

    EXPERIENCE

    Packaging Machine Operator - CHOCO, GDC, Soya & Porridge

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    To operate packing machine and ensure compliance with quality specifications while meeting and achieving the set targeted output

    THE JOB

    • Operate packing machine according to SOP for optimal productivity
    • Maintain standard parameters for operation of packing machine
    • Ensure the availability of packing materials in the right quantity, and quality, and at the right time to avoid any delay in packing operations.
    • Housekeeping in accordance to good manufacturing practices.
    • Update all packing machine checklists, and ensure they are signed off and filed.
    • Check the sealing integrity of all wrap products and correct abnormalities.
    • Ensure accurate coding on all sachet cartons produced
    • Supervise the activities of the packers to ensure that targets are met
    • Update all production records and downtime logbook during the shift operation

    Electrician

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    Carry out electrical maintenance activities in the plant with a view to keeping the plant running at optimum capacity.

    THE JOB

    • Repair any fault or damaged components of the machines such as production, packaging, warehouse, raw material silo, Boiler, WTP(Waste Treatment Plants)
    • Carry out all kinds of maintenance strictly with the use of checklist/Machine drawing
    • Monitor logbook to check job repairs done as well as pending jobs, to follow up and ensure prompt resolution
    • Carry out any job allocated to ensure quick response to maintenance requests from the Carry out user department.
    • Carry out a Why-Why analysis on repeated problems and troubleshoot problems to aid effective maintenance.
    • Follow up on all Preventive Measures targets in Total Productive Maintenance.
    • Reduce interruptions in electrical system by ensuring rapid repairs and reliable backup to maintain continuous operation.

    THE PERSON MUST

    Planning Clerk

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    To update production inventory data on data base (AXAPTA 2012) and send production inventory stock reports to keep management informed of the stock's status.

    THE JOB

    • Update on the database all receipt & issues data for raw and packaging materials
    • Forwards to account office copy of raw & packaging material receipt and reject documents for payment purpose
    • Update the database with daily production output, product transfer to warehouse.
    • Create and receive transfer orders for raw material & finished products
    • Raise purchase order & post product receipt for raw and packaging materials.
    • Send flour stocks and outstanding un-discharged trucks report.
    • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
    • Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.

    THE PERSON MUST

    • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to analyze and optimize inventory turnover to inform effective inventory planning and management strategies.
    • Accurate in maintaining and updating inventory records to ensure precise planning and forecasting.
    • Proactive in identifying and mitigating potentials backorders through strategic inventory planning and replenishment.

    QUALIFICATION

    • 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings/NABTEB/ Trade test.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 2 years of experience in similar role.

    HSE Assistant

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    To assist the Safety Health Environment (SHE) Manager in the implementation of global best practices in safety, health and environment programmes/activities.

    THE JOB

    • Inspect the facility to report, close out/ escalate any possibility for the occurrence of accidents, fire outbreaks and hazards to ensure prompt response and preventive resolution.
    • Check the facility to ascertain that all environmental and safety equipment are in ready to use condition and keep stock and reporting each’s status as routinely required.
    • Supervise the disposal of solid/general waste within the facility to ensure compliance with established standards.
    • Monitor the operations within the factory to ensure appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and communicate corrections where variations exist.
    • Supervise pest control activities.
    • Advice and counsel employees on the implication of maintaining a safe working environment and complying with safe work ethics.

    THE PERSON MUST

    • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Skilled in developing and implementing accurate records and reports including incident reports, safety data sheet.
    • Proficient in conducting Safety audits and inspection to identify potential hazards.
    • Able to provide emergency response support, including first aid administration and incident containment and control.

    QUALIFICATION

    • 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings/NABTEB/ Trade test.
    • OND in Environmental Sciences or Engineering.
    • Membership of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, IOSH will be an added advantage.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 2 years cognate experience.
    • Industrial experience in food/beverage manufacturing will be an added advantage.
