    Peer Group Educator

    Responsibilities

    • He/She will be responsible for conducting peer-to-peer sessions with women/girls in the community on menstrual hygiene management.
    • Support the club members in developing advocacy note for ‘freepadforgirls’ in the case of stakeholder visits.
    • Work closely with the media and partnership coordinator to create linkage between the club members and media stations
    • Coaching the club members on advocacy and stakeholder engagements
    • Conduct awareness and dialogue sessions to discuss and make referrals on menstrual hygiene issues for necessary actions.
    • Will include the four categories of people in the community; that’s the men and women as well as the boys and girls during dialogue sessions, awareness, and sensitization 

    Knowledge/Skills

    Human Resource Officer

    • ZEGCAWIS is seeking an efficient, passionate Human Resource Officer, who will be responsible for managing every aspect of the employment process, including orientation and training new staff members. You will assist with payroll management, so employees receive their pay checks on time, and also assist day to day operation of the human resource department.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
    • Provide counselling on policies and procedures
    • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
    • Create and implement effective on boarding plans
    • Assist in performance management processes
    • Support the management on disciplinary and grievance issues
    • Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
    • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
    • Ensure that prospective staff have the right to work at the organisation
    • Plan and sometimes deliver training, including new staff inductions
    • Deal with staff welfare and administration-centered activities

    Program and Advocacy Assistant

    • ZEGCAWIS is seeking an efficient, passionate Program and Advocacy Assistant to join our team and maximize our impact as an organization.
    • The Program and Advocacy Assistant is to assist and coordinate all program, education, advocacy and related activities.
    • The Program and Advocacy Assistant is to assist, support, coordinate, and monitor the program and advocacy deliverables.

    Responsibilities

    • Work close with Communication and Partnership Coordinator and Program Coordinator to execute advocacy strategy in relation to our programs, working in collaboration with Government and partners.
    • Carry out policy analysis to identify opportunities to advance ZEGCAWIS advocacy and campaigning towards agreed priorities, as well as alert on potential risks.
    • Develop impactful and timely policy documents (briefings, position papers, reports, and recommendations)
    • Organize policy debates among some selected schools in relation to our campaigns to create opportunities for dialogue and influence policy-makers and maintain strategic relations with government officials and partner organizations.
    • Develop /lead on documentation and dissemination of ZEGCAWIS policy and advocacy deliverables and results.
    • Compile and submit timely project/program reports to program Coordinator.
    • Work closely with the peer group Educators and ZEGCAWIS communication Coordinator and program team to coordinate and draft advocacy messages and materials that encourage people to get involved, take action, and help improve engagement.
    • Contribute to creating content for the ZEGCAWIS Advocacy campaigns on Radio.
    • Support the communication Coordinator in Drafting papers/articles for publications in social channels and long-form copy for website content, blog, and email communications

    Education

    • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, public administration, program management and communications.

    Program Coordinator
