    Senior Manager - Enterprise Risk Management

    Mission:

    Effectively identify, evaluate, manage, introduce defensive safeguards, and monitor the performance thereof against all variations of potential risk exposures, both of an internal and external nature (strategic, operational, financial, compliance, liquidity, product and market, political, economic, reputational, etc.).

    Description:

    • Lead the introduction of a robust, comprehensive risk management model or framework in all areas of the business (ERM, BCM, CRM, insurance, etc.).
    • Collaborate in building and entrenching a risk-aware culture by formulating Risk Management education content and arranging appropriate briefings and trainings.
    • Implement Group Risk Management strategies, frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with the overarching business goals and ensure that the OpCo maintains and improves its Risk Management leadership positioning and reputation.
    • Oversee risk assessments, evaluation of risks, mitigation of risks, and ownership in all business units. Support the business in implementing functional risk registers that will enable the development and maintenance of an OpCo risk register.
    • Identify, consolidate, and report anomalies, common risks, and future potential risks.
    • Ensure accurate updating of risk items identified on the risk management system (eGRC).
    • Define the standards and set targets for performance across various activities, and identify the parameters for measuring performance.
    • Set up and participate in ad hoc and operational meetings.
    • Participate and provide input in tactical meetings.
    • Report at the executive, process, and functional levels.
    • Review and identify key risks, issues, and dependencies, and set mitigation actions.
    • Ensure implementation of the Group Risk Escalation and Acceptance Policy; furthermore:
    • Manage and resolve escalations that have an impact on the critical path of service delivery.
    • Escalate issues in line with the Group Risk Escalation and Acceptance Policy
    • Manage and provide solutions to issues that require formal resolution.
    • Actively ensure the identification of risks associated with existing or new processes and take measures to introduce adequate controls within the operational business processes.
    • Provide feedback on any challenges to the executive to facilitate continuous improvement and mitigate risks.
    • Facilitate enterprise-wide risk assessments, mitigation, and ownership in all business units across MTNN, including the annual principal risk assessment workshop with Excom, in line with the Group ERM framework.
    • Ensure that eGRC (a risk management system or tool) is implemented and fully utilized to automate the risk management process within MTN Nigeria.
    • Perform in-depth evaluations of key risks within the organization and assist the business in developing prevention strategies and business continuity plans.
    • Provide input into the development of procedures and processes for crisis prevention and management.
    • Facilitate the implementation of a defined project and product risk management framework and provide ongoing risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting to the stakeholders.
    • Support the insurance unit in its implementation of insurance risk management per the group framework.
    • Regularly monitor and review the resources of the department, ensuring they are allocated and utilized in a cost-effective and financially disciplined manner.
    • Provide training to management and staff on risk matters and train them on the use of eGRC software.
    • Facilitate the application of the risk maturity model across selected risk specialty areas.
    • Conduct annual scenario planning and stress testing of the business plan.
    • Development of risk management strategies, road maps, and risk appetite for the OpCo.
    • Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure staff motivation is high to achieve high performance areas.
    • Ensure skill transfer for staff development, motivation, and mentorship.
    • Education:
    • Minimum 3-year bachelor’s degree in risk management, operational management, business, or finance
    • Professional qualification in risk management is advantageous (IRM, IIA, CRMA, PRM, CRISC).
    • Fluent in English (French as an advantage)

    Experience:

    9–17 years’ work experience, which includes:

    • Minimum 5-8 years of risk management experience, with at least 3 years in enterprise risk or risk management at the managerial level in a medium- to large-sized organization.
    • Experience in risk assessments is mandatory.
    • Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies is advantageous.
    • Understanding the risk environments for the telco industry sector is advantageous.
    • Understanding emerging markets is advantageous.

    Analyst - Customer Analytics, LSW

    Mission:

    To assist in collecting, evaluating, and preparing research and/or other complex statistical data, narrative reports or presentations, and recommendations to have a better understanding of the customers’ needs at a micro-market level.

    Description:

    • Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize data in preparation for the generation of statistical and analytical reports and provide intelligence that supports decision-making.
    • Coordinate data requests with respect to pre- and post-return on investment data extraction, data samples for analytics, and other ad-hoc requirements.
    • Maintain computerized collection and tracking of relevant data and appropriate records of research methods and results.
    • Utilize specified statistical software to analyze and interpret research data, as appropriate to the individual position.
    • Extract qualifying data based on defined campaigns and according to the approved campaign road map, as well as manage and update engine room tools.
    • Provide support to the campaign segmentation analyst as required.
    • Contribute and participate in campaign idea generation meetings and cross-functional Customer Lifecycle Management meetings as required.
    • Demonstrate a broad understanding of the end-to-end Big Data ecosystem and dependencies to identify trends in customer dynamics.
    • Interface with financial analysts and business units to understand their data requirements and reporting needs.
    • Liaise with product management managers to understand the data needed to support and monitor product performance.
    • Monitor network coverage and QoS to identify competitive weaknesses and strengths.

    Education:

    • First degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science, Engineering, or any related field.
    • Fluent in English.

    Experience:

    3–7 years of working experience, which includes:

    • 2 years in a business analyst or business analyst support role.
    • 2 years’ work experience within data analysis, programming, reporting, or general business experience, including formal business or market analysis and data manipulation or mining experience.
    • Understanding of sales channel.

    Engineer - Data Centre

    Description

    • Monitor, diagnose and resolve problems with key IT systems to ensure systems work efficiently.
    • Manage crisis situations and work under pressure to resolve problems.
    • Plan and undertake projects to improve and upgrade key IT systems as directed by IT Senior management.
    • Develop, contribute, and evaluate technical proposals related to Data Centre Operations.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of platform performance, scalability, efficiency, and reliability
    • Provide technical expertise for 1st and 2nd line IT support staff, sharing technical knowledge 
    • Work cross-functionally with various teams
    • Ensure policies and processes are well-documented, communicated and followed

    • Assist other Infrastructure and Cloud team and development teams to resolve application-to-platform integration issues (IaaS and PaaS) across different cloud providers and deployment models.
    • Provide information timely for Audits and Security and audit requests and ensure vulnerabilities and findings are closed 
    • Effective access controls to Infrastructure platforms.
    • Ensure Incident and Problem resolution within SLAs
    • Work with the Network and Facilities teams to ensure adequate Security, Network and Power and Cooling in the Data Centers.
    • Work with OEMs, Partners, Planning teams and other key stakeholders to ensure highly available Data Centre

    Education:

    • First Degree in any related field
    • Relevant Professional Certifications e.g. Data Centre Certifications, Network Certifications etc.
    • Fluent in English

    Experience:

    3 - 7 years’ experience which includes:

    • Vast Knowledge of Data Centre design, project implementation and operations support.
    • Vast knowledge of Data Centre Network Design, Implementation and Support.
    • Knowledge of IT equipment handling, power, and cooling technologies
    • In-depth understanding of LAN and SAN cabling Support and implementation techniques
    • Good troubleshooting, analytical, communication and collaboration skills
    • Development of policies, Processes and Procedures as required to guide Data Centre Operations 
    • Familiar with Agile project management methodologies.
    • Good understanding of ITIL Infrastructure Library Framework

    Coordinator - Service Configuration and ITAM, Information Technology

    Mission:

    • Identify, capture, and manage all MTNN IS Configuration Items (CI) used in the delivery of business services while ensuring the goals of the Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) process are achieved.
    • Maintain a logical model containing the components of the IT infrastructure (CIs) and their associations. This is usually maintained in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The CMDB should be presentable through the Configuration Management System (CMS).

    Description:

    • Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets and configurations within MTN Nigeria.
    • Maintain an up-to-date record (database) of all components of the MTNN Information Technology Assets, a repository of information describing topology, services, and their relationships.
    • Ensure the availability of technical information as regards MTNN Information Technology Assets to staff and management.
    • Maintain MTNN IS asset and configuration information and conformity to best practice (ITSM).
    • Communicate new configurations, follow-up, and update the impact of changes on configuration information.
    • Develop a report on license compliance, including, but not limited to, management usage, availability, and expiry.
    • Ensure that dependencies and interrelationships between configuration items are communicated and understood.
    • Ensure the availability of license information for staff and management.
    • Provide a graphical representation of the MTNN Information Technology Assets, to aid in the diagnosis of incidents and problems.
    • Provide input to vendor and supplier negotiations and manage vendor procurement, supply, and delivery processes.
    • Ensure and maintain a comprehensive and accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
    • Ensuring the pre-defined activities are aligned with the change management process.
    • Ensuring the CMS provides accurate and up-to-date information.
    • Ensuring regular snapshots and configuration baselines are taken and protected.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of asset records.

    Education:

    • First degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Applied Sciences or an IT equivalent degree
    • Foundation Certificate: ITIL, IT Service Management

    Experience:

    3–7 years’ experience in IT service support and delivery environments

    • Experience in enterprise asset management
    • Experience in the development, maintenance, and management of CMDB
    • Experience of change, release, and configuration management processes and procedures
    • Project management experience
