    Service Monitoring Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Identify critical services for monitoring.
    • Ensure that all business agreed critical services are maintained on the monitoring dashboards.
    • Provide 24/7 service monitoring.
    • Capacity performance monitoring & reporting.
    • Deployment and support of the tools in use to monitor systems and applications.
    • Provide timely and continuous reports on the status of all technology services.
    • Escalate identified issues to the proper personnel and follow through on the resolution of such issues.
    • Provide some first level troubleshooting/support for identified incidents.
    • Escalate unresolved service failures within agreed timelines.
    • Manage Kuda’s status page and communication with her users.
    • Run daily maintenance checks, DB queries, upgrade agents to the latest versions and verify-update configuration when needed.
    • Work closely with Technology support & IT Support (IS Admin) teams to ensure proper support is provided to their customers.
    • Perform other related tasks as may be required from time to time.

    Requirements

    • Basic understanding of Banking Operations, Business services, Technology services and interoperability of the systems (optional); SQL Scripting knowledge.
    • First Degree (Computer Science/Engineering); ITIL Foundation (optional).

    Head of HR (Maternity Cover)

    Role Overview

    • This is a maternity cover for the Head of HR for Nigeria, and the role is to support the Group Chief People Officer and heads of business units to ensure that HR & People Operations contributes to Kuda Microfinance Bank achieving its strategic and commercial goals in a compliant and enterprise value-adding manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the Group Chief People Officer, Executive leadership and business unit heads in managing employee relations issues, including but not limited to areas such as: improving individual employee performance; co-ordination of disciplinary, grievance and termination matters; maternity and paternity; flexible working requests; promotion and role reviews; redundancy and matters associated with broader organizational change and growth.
    • Coach Executive leadership and business units to optimize team structures and organizational/performance effectiveness.
    • Work with external legal counsel in respect of contentious employee-related matters.
    • Act as first-point-of-contact for all payroll and compensation related matters whether these be query handling or in respect of ensuring data is up-to-date and ready for Finance use.
    • Support the Finance department with monthly payroll management and any associated reporting or interface with relevant regulatory bodies.
    • Administer the Company benefits and be the first point of contact for the providers – Private Medical, Pension, etc.
    • Under the direction of the Compliance team support any on-going Compliance related training activities including but not limited to matters around interface with the regulator(s).
    • Support activities and execute the approved Learning & Development strategy and events.
    • Produce management information on Human Resources activities to provide meaningful data to the Board, the Executive Committee and the Risk & Compliance Committee in order that they can execute their duties in regard to the broader People Plan and manage all people-related risks.
    • Attend and sometimes run the weekly HR meetings to establish current priorities and objectives and produces accompanying recruitment related MI so as to serve broader headcount and employment-related cost employment reporting.
    • Run standard and bespoke reports from the company’s HRIS as needed by the business.
    • Under the direction of the Compliance team support any on-going Compliance related training activities including but not limited to matters around interface with the regulator(s).
    • Support activities and execute the approved Learning & Development strategy and events.
    • Adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
    • Consult with the Compliance department and/or escalate queries or issues related to permissions or legal and regulatory; upwards.
    • Ensure that all requests from HR and Compliance are executed in a timely manner and within any deadlines communicated.
    • Follow Company procedures for adherence to data protection procedures (GDPR) and ensure data protection is embedded in business processes. Consult with the Data Protection Officer as required, and report concerns or breaches of procedure in a timely fashion.
    • Help to identify areas of improvement to company policies and procedures and work with the relevant Heads of department to implement changes to policies and procedures as required.
    • Follow up on outstanding HR and Compliance related items with a crossover agenda as it relates to HR, Compliance and Health & Safety.
    • Work with the Lead Office Operations Manager to ensure effective Health and Safety measures and policies are in place and adhered to at Kuda MFB locations.

    Requirements

    • A relevant HR Qualification
    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Senior HR role.
    • Proven HR operational experience in the key results areas.
    • Strong knowledge of and remains up to date on Nigerian employment legislation.
    • Good command of spoken and written English
    • Strong interpersonal skills – the ability to influence, communicate and develop relationships effectively and at the highest levels in the organisation.
    • Ability to work confidently with external suppliers such as employment counsel.
    • Strong planning and organisation skills.
    • Attention to detail and the production of high-quality documentation.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making.
    • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Google Suites.
    • People-person with a welcoming personality.

    Executive Assistant to the CEO & Co-Founder

    About the role

    • If successful, you will assist with extensive diary management, inbox management, travel and accommodation, gatekeeping, meeting organisation, and document management including creating presentations, project support and more. An interesting and varied role for someone who is ready for a career-boosting challenge and ready to start working ASAP.
    • The ideal candidate will have recent Executive Assistant experience supporting to C-Level, be well-versed in diplomacy, tact and confidentiality, be tech-savvy, particularly in Ms Office Suite and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. A financial services background would be advantageous though all professional services environments will be considered.
    • To execute this function, the role holder will have the following responsibilities:

    Responsibilities:

    • Always be presentable as the face of the company, and the first point of contact in the office of the CEO to internal and external stakeholders which can include top-level executives, customers, board advisors, investors, government or regulatory officials, clients and visitors.
    • Planning, scheduling, and organising internal & external meetings, including venue bookings and international itinerary management.
    • Extensive and ever-changing diary management and assisting the CEO effectively with meeting attendance.
    • Expense management and submission.
    • Being an effective gatekeeper to the CEO.
    • Preparing presentations/paperwork for internal and external meetings.
    • Arranging Board, Investors, Exec and other internal management meetings (including the odd client meeting)
    • Minute taking
    • Providing direct support for the CEO and at times to the Senior Management team as required.
    • Travelling to other locations, local and international, as may be required. Must be comfortable with the knowledge that regular travel to various parts of Africa may be required for this role.

    Requirements

    • At least 3 years experience as an Executive Assistant to C-Suite executives, with proven capability of engaging with top-level internal and external stakeholders
    • At least 10 years PA/EA experience
    • Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels
    • Excellent corporate minute-taking skills and ability to create board packs
    • Knowledge of FCA policies and/or regulations as they may apply to your role and as may be required to effectively discharge the duties as it pertains to the office of the CEO
    • Experience in a fast start-up, scale-up or SME environment
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Good knowledge of database systems and processes
    • Clear understanding and demonstrable experience in maintaining a high level of confidentiality through role execution
    • Basic knowledge of UK Health & Safety and Data Legislation
    • Time management and organization skills, with the ability to manage a fluctuating and diverse workload
    • Flexible and willing to travel
