    Transport Officer

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Enrol and secure dedicated 3rd Party trucks into the fleet for month-on-month shipment in the Southwestern region.
    • Manage at least 50 dedicated trucks. Build a pool of 250 units of 3rd party trucks, with 20% conversion into dedicated trucks (50)
    • Provide strong partner development and support to truckers to help them grow their business with DRYVA.
    • Work jointly with Client Accounts / Order Processing Team to ensure allocation of vehicles/drivers based on the peculiarity of Client’s requests.
    • Direct supervision of truck loadings to ensure accuracy in items, as well as conformance to loading patterns in order to prevent the likelihood of damage to materials or products during transit.
    • Ensure documentation accuracy, collect all waybills and proof of delivery (PODs) from delivery sites across the country leveraging field officers.
    • Ensure the products are delivered to customers in a timely manner
    • Meet all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of Key clients’ needs and requirements
    • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
    • Resolve any issues faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
    • Rapidly build a wide 3rd party trucker base across major regions in Nigeria.
    • Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives
    • We're looking for someone who has;
    • The ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently and more than one client at a time
    • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, goal-oriented and organized team player
    • In-depth understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry
    • Able to analyze data, sales statistics and translate results into better solutions
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person.
    • Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • HND/B.Sc. in Transport & Logistics Management or other related fields.
    • Proven access to a network of truckers in strategic regions of the country.
    • Experience with 3rd Party Logistics will be a strong advantage.
    • Cognate 2-3 years’ management experience of a fleet of 50 commercial trucks (minimum).
    • Relevant professional certification in Transport in Nigeria. E.g. National Institute of Transport & Logistics is an added advantage.
    • Strong practical knowledge of Nigeria fleet and transport legislation / compliance requirements for the transport industry.
    • Extensive knowledge of route planning and Driver management.
    • Experience in Truck types and models, costs, utilization and management peculiarities.
    • Experience in Truck tracking and fleet maintenance systems.
    • Specialist knowledge in truck management.
    • Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
    • Excellent mathematical and numerical skills.
    • Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
    • Excellent relationship management.

    Business Development / Key Accounts Officer

    Responsibilities

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction by addressing their needs and resolving any issues that arise.
    • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their business objectives and aligning services tmeet their needs.

    Account Growth and Retention:

    • Develop and implement account strategies tgrow revenue from existing clients, focusing on upselling and cross-selling opportunities, especially as the company expands intfreight forwarding.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities tdeepen relationships with key clients, including expanding service offerings tinclude freight forwarding and other logistics services.
    • Monitor client satisfaction and take proactive steps taddress any concerns, ensuring high levels of client retention and loyalty.

    Sales and Business Development:

    • Collaborate with the sales team tidentify and secure new business opportunities within existing key accounts, particularly in the areas of freight forwarding and international logistics.
    • Participate in the development and execution of sales strategies tachieve revenue targets for key accounts.
    • Prepare and present proposals, service agreements, and contracts tclients, ensuring all terms are aligned with company goals and client expectations.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Serve as the main point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and concerns.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, customer service) tensure seamless service delivery tclients.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients tensure satisfaction and explore additional business opportunities.

    Market Analysis:

    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, particularly in the logistics and freight forwarding sectors.
    • Provide insights and recommendations tthe management team on potential business opportunities and risks within key accounts.
    • Analyze client data and feedback tidentify patterns, preferences, and areas for improvement in service delivery.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
    • Provide accurate and timely updates tthe management team on sales and business development activities.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a related field (e.g, e-commerce, logistics and supply chain, FMCG or real estate).
    • Strong negotiation skills, especially in contract management with clients and service providers.
    • Ability tanalyze market data, customer needs, and competitive landscapes tdrive strategic decision-making.
    • Ability tidentify challenges and develop effective, efficient solutions.
    • Experience in managing complex logistics projects, including coordination with multiple stakeholders.
    • Good communication skills - oral and written.
    • Relationship Management.
    • Must have appropriate knowledge of inspection agents, Banks, shipping companies, and Terminals.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)
    • Ability twork independently.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.

    Senior Transport Officer (Northern Region)

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
