    Program Interns Volunteer

    Basic Function:

    • Reporting to the Program, Administration and communication Officer; the Program interns will provide programmatic and operational support to the team for the implementation of Meeting Targets for project activities as assigned. S/he will form part of the team that supports coordination and overall implementation of the various scopes under the project including technical assistance to designated partner(s). S/he should be able to multi-task, and have excellent computer literacy skills, communication, and organizational skills, especially in familiarizing themselves with the organizational processes, performing quality assessments, and responding to the project’s needs and concerns. 

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Provide program and administrative support to the team in the implementation of project deliverables including support to partners.
    • Support with preparation of various program documents such as workplans, budgets, reports, and proposals on program implementation, presentation materials / slides in Power-point for presentations for meetings/workshops.
    • Support the team in planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of activities focused on achievement of the goals of the project.
    • Support with maintaining program monitoring checklists and budget tracking tools to effectively supervise deliverables and burn rate of project activities based on approved workplan.
    • Review, collate and submit routine (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly) progress reports from sub teams.
    • Maintain and organize up-to-date hard and electronic files for easy access and retrieval, ensuring safe keeping of confidential materials.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

    • Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to organize systems to monitor administrative and implementation results.

    • B.Sc./BA degree, with excellent ICT skills. He/she must possess an NYSC discharge certificate with at least one year prior experience in similar role.

    Program Administration and Communications Officer Volunteer

    General Position Summary

    • The Program Administration and Communications Officer will support the development and implementation of a communication strategy for the Small-Town WASH Program, including the regular development of timely, well-written and accurate factsheets, press releases, articles, success stories and other resources as needed.
    • The Program Administration and Communications Officer is responsible for ensuring the STWASH project documentation and communications requirements are up to date.
    • The Officer will provide support on administration, government, partner and stakeholder reporting coordination, external communication requirements for the donors, and record retention.
    • The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can independently manage multiple workstreams to completion, track many priorities at once, and deliver quality results on time.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    Administrative Support:

    • Organize meetings and take detailed meeting minutes and reports of project activities.
    • Follow up with the project partners, keep track of project documents and maintain a reporting shared calendar.
    • Review and update reporting, filing, communications, and contract documents of engaged consultants.
    • Provide administrative and logistical support for the project.

    Reporting and Record Retention:

    • Work with the ED to develop systems to ensure timely submission of all Project deliverables.
    • Ensure all project electronic and hard copy folders meet RAF standards and are populated accordingly.
    • Support the coordination of meetings like kick-off, close-out etc.

    Communications:

    • Prepare communications documents, including, but not limited to, fact sheets, situational reports, operational updates, and human interest/success stories for sharing within internal RAF’s channels and for external stakeholders, including for donor engagement.
    • Collect and analyze information on project achievements in the form of photos and short videos, and draw upon that information to draft, edit, format, and disseminate a wide range of internal and external information products.
    • Produce other communication documents on an a- hoc basis as necessary and requested by the supervisor.
    • Consolidate and draft information for internal reports, such as the 3Is (impact, influence, innovation)
    • Design and implement different information systems, including the production and dissemination of newsletters, infographics, and application tools.
    • Support all program administration as needed.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Degree in Communication, International Development, Gender, or any related field.
    • A minimum of 2 years of admin and communication work experience in international development required.
    • Experience in written and audio-visual communication materials.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent computer skills, including experience with PowerPoint and Microsoft Word,
    • Experience interfacing with media, corporations and stakeholder management is highly desired.
    • Fluency in written and verbal English and Hausa is required.
    • Possesses the skills that help foster a learning and collaborative environment, as well as capturing new knowledge in the most effective way.
    • Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to provide practical solutions within set deadlines.
    • Experience working in states in Northeast and south east context.

    Finance, Admin & Program Intern Volunteer

    Objective

    • We are seeking a Finance, Administrative and Program Support Intern, who will provide support to the Program, Administration and communication Officer to ensure smooth Administrative and effective maintenance of the RAF Office and premises while providing support to the Project team in Sokoto state. RAF has established a permanent presence in Sokoto state as an operational base and implementing projects with activities that include capacity building, dialogues, peace architecture, media programming, participatory theatre, and collaborative joint activities.

    Roles and Responsibilities – Finance

    • Compile vendor payment list, ensure all documentation are complete before sharing list with Enterprise Manager for initiation
    • Prepare approval memos for all operations expenses
    • Process payment of expenses, including per diem and transport to participants during activities in the field
    • Maintain accounting files
    • Prepare bank reconciliation monthly
    • Manage the equipment & stationery inventory database for the offices (Sokoto & Abuja)
    • Support logistic for travels, special events, programs and activities
    • Track and following up on outstanding advances and ensure timely reconciliation.
    • Assist in gathering /photocopying of documentations for monthly payment of volunteers
    • Assist in providing support during seminars, workshops, etc.
    • Assist in periodic verification of physical inventory
    • Coordinate the receipt of orders into the store
    • Coordinate birthday felicitation for staff and Leadership council members

    Roles and Responsibilities – Admin and Logistics Support

    • Monthly stock recording and ensuring adequate stock supplies around the office as needed
    • Receiving and reviewing correspondence to the office
    • Maintaining office filing and storage systems
    • Following up on hotel booking hotels and making travel arrangements for participants & staff.
    • Provision of information to the staff on travel including travel route and hotel arrangements;
    • Assist with conference room scheduling and maintenance, including setting up of tables and chairs for meetings.
    • General administrative tasks like filing, scanning, photocopying, and answering phones.
    • Welcome guests and visitors at the reception.
    • Keep a tab of the clock in-and-out book.
    • Identify key administrative and housekeeping challenges and raise the challenge with the supervisor.
    • Ensure that office equipment is kept in good condition.
    • Support in the management of petty cash.
    • Work closely with vendors during general maintenance of office equipment.
    • Coordinate package delivery and pickup.
    • Carry out terrorist checks

    Roles and Responsibilities – Program Support

    • Provide support to the project team in the implementation of RAF’s activities in the related project State.
    • Organize and participate in workshops, needs assessments, consultations, and planning sessions, and provide technical inputs as necessary.
    • Develop relations with partners and work towards the enhancement of the project
    • Support in the organization and implementation of activities; assistance in the design and delivery of training and other support activities.
    • Contribute to effective communication and reporting on project activities in the field.
    • Provide inputs for periodic technical reviews and manage changes in program direction and focus; project monitoring, evaluation, accountability & learning, etc.
    • Conduct frequent supervision and monitoring visits to project areas and identify any issues needing attention related to implementation, compliance, and program quality standards.
    • Work closely with the RAF team for the implementation of learning and recommendations from external or internal reviews and feedback.
    • Work with the project team to develop a detailed costed work plan at the start of the project and ensure monthly updates are made to the output databases.
    • In consultation with the Project Manager, represent RAF at meetings, seminars, coordination fora, and other events.
    • Ensure good collaboration and working relationships with the government and other relevant partners.
    • Create appropriate links, working procedures, and information sharing with key stakeholders
    • Ensure project reports are produced on time and to a high standard.
    • Provide brief updates (bi-weekly or weekly) to the Project Manager and members as the case may be.
    • Report any new developments, problems, and challenges encountered in implementation promptly.
    • Fulfill any additional assignment as deemed necessary by the project team.

    Fund Raiser Volunteer

    Description

    • This is a full-time role for a Fundraiser at Ryan’s Aid Foundation located in Abuja, with flexibility for remote work. As a Fundraiser, your primary responsibility is to organize events and activities that encourage donations to the charity. Your role involves increasing awareness of the charity and its cause, generating donations, and maintaining relationships with donors and funders. You will manage communication and events for donors, and occasionally work unsociable hours or travel to events to meet representatives from funding organizations.

    Responsibilities

    • Developing and executing new fundraising strategies through events, online advertising, and celebrity promotions.
    • Approaching businesses, local authorities, and individuals to encourage donations.
    • Researching grant-making organizations and applying for funding.
