    Assistant to the MD

    Job Summary

    • This is not a typical executive assistant role but one that requires a highly intelligent, articulate, and strategic individual capable of matching the MD’sbusiness acumen.
    • The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and able to contribute to high-level decision-making, helping to drive the company’s growth and efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide high-level support to the MD, assisting with strategic business tasks, project management, and execution.
    • Research industry trends, competitors, and pharmaceutical market data to provide insights and recommendations to the MD.
    • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and proposals for internal and external meetings, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
    • Manage high-priority projects for the MD, working across departments to ensure timely execution and results.
    • Collaborate with the MD on business development activities, including client meetings, negotiations, and strategic planning.
    • Serve as a trusted partner to the MD, offering input on critical business decisions and contributing to problem-solving.
    • Draft, edit, and review communications, emails, and documents on behalf of the MD, ensuring a professional and articulate tone.
    • Coordinate the MD’s schedule, prioritizing meetings and tasks to align with business objectives.
    • Assist with analyzing sales reports, marketing strategies, and performance metrics, providing insights that drive operational improvement.
    • Handle complex tasks and challenges with minimal supervision, using strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

    Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Pharmacy, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Experience: 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or a fast-paced business environment.
    • Strong business acumen and understanding of pharmaceutical marketing and sales.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
    • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools.
    • Ability to work independently, think critically, and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
    • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Proactive and resourceful in anticipating the MD’s needs and responding to business challenges.
