    Director, Human Resources

    Job Description

    The Director of Human Resources at our Sokoto Plant will be responsible for developing and executing the company's HR strategies.

    Objective

    • The Human Resource Director plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing HR Strategies that aligns with the company's objectives.
    • Overseeing all aspects of Human Resource Management, including Talent Acquisition, Employees Relations, Performance Management System, Learning and Development and Compliance with labour laws and regulations.
    • The Human Resource Director will ensure the company attracts, develops a diverse and high performing workforce.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Implement performance management systems to ensure clear performance expectations and provide feedback on employee development.
    • Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, training, and employee relations.
    • Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent, including developing recruitment strategies, conducting interviews, and negotiating job offers.
    • Develop policies and administer employee benefit program.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulation, and ensure maintenance of best practices.
    • Manage employee relations issues, conflict resolution, disciplinary action and grievance procedures.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • B.Sc in Human Resources, Humanities, or any related field.
    • Minimum of 15 years post qualification experience
    • Relevant professional qualification/certification like PHRI, SPHRI or GPHR will be an added advantage.
    • Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria

    Skills / Competences:

    • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, laws and regulations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skill
    • Excellent verbal and communication skill.
    • Familiar with HRIS and ERP software.
