    Officer: People

    Job Function

    • Responsible for supporting the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and assisting with the onboarding process.
    • Support the implementation of talent development programs and initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of our employees

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Assist in the full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
    • Post job openings on various platforms and monitor candidate responses.
    • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
    • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
    • Conduct initial interviews to assess candidate fit and qualifications as appropriate.
    • Assist in the preparation onboarding materials and induction programmes.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking records for recruitments.
    • Prepare interview analysis for further decision making.
    • Communicate with successful and unsuccessful candidate as appropriate.
    • Maintain potential applicant database to support recruitment pipeline.
    • Support the design and delivery of training programs that align with the organization's goals and support employee development.
    • Assist with evaluation of the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics.
    • Support in the implementation of initiatives that promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
    • Analysis training vendors for effective decision making.
    • Understand and keep abreast with industry trends and best practices in talent development.
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date tracking record for training achieved.
    • Assist with organizing monthly townhall (family) meetings.
    • promote a culture of safety and align with MDS HSEQ policy and guidelines.
    • Assist in documenting and submitting training activities for ITF (Industrial Training Fund) approval.
    • Head of Departments, Hiring Managers, External & Internal Candidates
    • Government training agency (ITF)
    • External instructors and facilitators
    • Training vendors

    Qualifications Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in related field
    • Member of a L&D Chartered Institute
    • Member of HR Chartered Institute – SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, CIPM

    Experience and Skills Required:

    • At least 1-2 years in HR function.
    • Experience with ATS/HRIS preferred but not required.
    • Knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment laws
    • Good understanding of training methodology
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications and HR software (e.g., ATS).
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Understand staffing needs and requirements
