RDC Logistics Assistant at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for effective and efficient logistics operations. Oversee and coordinate the daily logistics activities. Implement productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the agreed business targets within stipulated timelines.

 THE JOB

• Coordinate and monitor the dispatch and delivery of goods via trucks
• Track truck turnaround time for all inbound and outbound trucks
• Liaise with drivers, transporters, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth truck operations.
• Monitor and track truck movements to ensure compliance with delivery schedules.
• Assist in resolving any truck-related issues, such as breakdowns or delays.
• Maintain accurate records of truck movements, including fuel consumption, maintenance, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with trucking regulations and company policies.
• Support in organizing and maintaining truck fleet and parking areas
• Provide support to other logistics team members as needed
• Allocate fuel for RDC trucks based on set metrics
• Monitor fuel consumption per truck.

 THE PERSON MUST

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS office Proficiency.
• Excellent customer service skill.
• High level of attention to details.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

 QUALIFICATION

• OND in Engineering or Business related discipline.

 EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role.
