    Registrar

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as Registrar.
    • The Registrar will play a pivotal role in managing student records, admissions, registration processes, examination administration, and grading.
    • This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date college records.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage student records, admissions, and registration processes.
    • Oversee the administration of examinations and grading.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date college records.
    • Serve as the Chief Administrative Officer of the College.
    • Report directly to the Provost and oversee day-to-day administrative operations.
    • Act as the Secretary to the Governing Council, the Academic Board, the Management Committee, and any sub-committees.
    • Custodian of College Seal and all records excluding finance-related documents.
    • Provide expert advice to the Provost on Administrative and Human Resource Management issues.

    Qualifications/Experience

    • A bachelor's degree in Public Administration or a related field from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience. This should include at least two (2) years at the Deputy Registrar level within a recognized tertiary institution. Possession of a relevant Master's Degree is advantageous.
    • Membership in a recognized professional body relevant to the position is required.
    • Proficiency in information and communication technology (ICT) is necessary, along with a demonstrated understanding of essential digital skills for modern management systems.
    • Candidates must exhibit a reputable character and demonstrate physical fitness suitable for the responsibilities of the position.
    • Candidates are required to submit a Suitability Statement for the post they are applying for along with their Curriculum Vitae (CV), and they will also be expected to provide the originals of their certificates and other relevant credentials during the interview process.

    Terms of Appointment:

    • The position is on tenure appointment for a period of four (4) years in the first instance.
    • Following satisfactory performance, re-appointment for another period of four years only may be considered.
