    Director of Business Development

    Job Summary

    • As a Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities to sell our digital marketing services portfolio and defining strategies to expand company revenue.
    • Our ideal candidate should be able to lead and guide the creation of customized and innovative solutions to meet clients’ specific goals and needs.

    Key Responsibilities
    Direct Business Development:

    • Develop and implement a business development strategic plan.
    • Achieve a monthly sales gross profit target.
    • Analyzing prospective clients’ digital footprint to develop digital & content strategies for their businesses.
    • Conduct pitches and presentations to persuade potential customers that Pulse is the preferred partner to meet their corporate goals.
    • Drive relationships with decision-makers at tier-1 companies across Nigeria.
    • Work with the Account Management team to ensure services sold are delivered to clients to maximize client retention.

    Team Lead:

    • Represent Pulse at events and network and build relationships with potential clients and partners.
    • Perform weekly checks of the team’s inputs into the CRM to ensure full visibility into the sales pipeline.
    • Review proposals developed by members of the team.
    • Develop Pulse content campaigns & product offerings to grow revenues.
    • Manage team learning sessions and enable knowledge sharing on an ongoing basis with the Sales teams internationally.
    • Manage the onboarding and training of new team members.
    • Lend support and direction to help team members realize their full potential.
    • Ensure that the defined sales process is followed at all times.
    • Communicate effectively to all team members and maintain strong, trusting relationships with all internal collaborators.
    • Stay up to date of the latest trends, industry issues and solutions, to help ensure that Pulse is always innovating with great client solutions.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Experience in sales or business development in a senior-level management role - Saas/Digital/ IT/Creative/ Digital Media/ Marketing/ Advertising industries preferred.
    • A creative thinker who can connect 360° digital to all aspects of a client’s business and drive growth opportunities.
    • Solid understanding of digital marketing.
    • Excellent network
    • Great networking skills and a demonstrated ability in key client/partner relationship management
    • Excellent people leadership skills and the ability to inspire confidence and trust to motivate teams
    • An entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment with dynamic business priorities.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with Zoho CRM is desirable.

    Ad Operations Specialist

    Job Summary

    • As an Ad Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing online advertising campaigns, ensuring smooth operations, and optimizing campaign performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the entire ad campaign lifecycle, including ad trafficking, reporting, and optimization.
    • Monitor and analyze ad performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to optimize campaign performance.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of advertising campaigns.
    • Troubleshoot ad-related issues and work with technical teams to resolve them quickly.
    • Implement and maintain ad tracking and reporting systems to provide regular reports on campaign performance.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in online advertising, and share insights with the team.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in Ad Operations or digital advertising.
    • Strong knowledge of ad serving platforms, such as Google Ad Manager or OpenX.
    • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, withthe ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

    Entertainment and Lifestyle Editor

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee editorial planning and strategy execution for the entertainment and lifestyle categories.
    • Ensure quality control of all published content in the entertainment and lifestyle categories, and ensure stories are reflective of our editorial guidelines and journalistic best practice, ethics and standards at all times.
    • Work closely with the Editor-in-Chief in making editorial decisions, conceiving story ideas, and giving recommendations on story direction for the entertainment and lifestyle categories.
    • Create long-term editorial calendars that detail articles, features, and editorials. Content should be original in a variety of impactful and engaging formats that show a good understanding of our audience, clients, and competitive positioning.
    • Conduct interviews and write feature articles that position the brand as engaging and innovative.
    • Manage a team of writers to deliver on engaging content for the editorial team.
    • Promote a work environment of continuous improvement by managing team learning sessions and facilitating knowledge sharing on an ongoing basis.
    • Represent Pulse at industry events, be a spokesperson for the brand and always explore opportunities to promote our brand image.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in journalism, or any related field.
    • Minimum of two years experience as an editor in a newsroom or in a similar role.
    • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
