    Head of Sales (Freight & Logistics)

    About Company: Our Client is a highly diversified, international firm that ranks high in the freight forward and logistics sector. With business interest in major markets of the world, our client seeks to redefine logistics by taking away the stress with which the industry is famously labelled with.

    Job Summary: The Company is seeking to hire a seasoned Head of Sales with strong commercial experience in the Nigerian freight forwarding and logistics sector, who will be focused on increasing revenue by identifying new market opportunities, maintaining and improving existing relationships with key account customers and overseas partners.

    The Head of Sales will oversee the commercial department of the Nigerian office, with sole responsibility of defining and executing the sales strategy for the business. He/ She would be responsible for building, training, maintaining and leading a sales team that will serve as the main sales contact point for prospects as well as sales account owner for customers assigned in their region. The team must also find and develop qualified leads, then convert them through the sales process into prospects and customers.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Core duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
    Find & develop qualified leads, convert them through the sales
    process into prospects and customers.
    Continuously keep the sales pipeline full with deals at various types and stages, including fresh/new (qualified) leads/introductions, mid and late-stage sales life cycle targets. The ideal sales pipeline will always be full with a wide variety of account types, company sizes, diversified industries, transactional vs. strategic business and services offered.
    Assists in the development of the sales plan. Prepares forecasts and KPI reporting for the sales team, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.
    Performs regular visits to qualified prospects and customers, in accordance with Management’s directives, to drive the business’ growth, market share and profitability.
    Builds relationships at all levels and represents the company in a professional manner, including making presentations.
    Build, train, maintain, lead and mentor the sales team with a hands-on approach to the sales process.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or any relevant field. Advanced qualifications are an advantage.
    • Over 10 years of proven and successful background within the Freight Forwarding industry in a sales development and leadership role.
    • Network within the industry and relevant fields, as well as experience of negotiation with key accounts clients.
    • Experience managing a high performing sales team.
    • Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Extensive experience in supply chain management.
    • Relevant job knowledge and experience, including ocean & air freight, both import and export.
    • A unique combination of good interpersonal and communications/presentation skills, both written and oral, coupled with a sharp business acumen and consultative sales approach.
    • Strong working knowledge of CRM software, as well as other tools needed in the sales & marketing profession (Word, Excel, MS office, PowerPoint, internet browser, etc.).
    • Able to set directions, priorities and goals; able to secure plans and organisation in order to realize and deliver ambitions and results.

    Job Description

    • Develop sales action plan and strategies to achieve the company’s Sales and Marketing goals and increase revenue.
    • Lead and direct all Sales and Marketing activities for the organization.
    • Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads.

    • Keep abreast of competitor’s activity, evaluating key competitor’s strength and weakness and recommending any necessary tactical action monthly
    • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly time-phased reports on achievement and activities for management information and generate progress report on sales and business volume targets from the sales data and trends.

    Requirements

    • BSc in Marketing or any related field + professional qualification will be an added advantage
    • 5+ years’ B2B Sales and Marketing experience in Fintech Industry
    • Possess a good knowledge and experience in Financial technology industry
    • Good communications skills and must be able to speak with a diverse range of prospective clients- varying in size, industry, and business model.

    Merchant Sales Partner (FInTech)

    Job Description

    • Build and manage business partnerships, implement new sources of merchant acquisition and growth;
    • Identify high-potential businesses, verticals, and markets to develop and execute outbound sales strategies to onboard new clients;
    • Reach out to potential merchants and partners, understand their business needs and present the Company’s payment solution in a consultative sales style;
    • Manage your sales pipeline from prospecting, qualifying, researching, pitching and providing necessary support to ensure timely integration of merchants;
    • Work closely with marketing, product, and other teams to develop and execute sales and marketing activities
    • Provide market feedback to the company’s leadership and product development team regarding competitive offerings and prospects’ needs, and generate product development ideas, and help develop cross-sell and upsell strategies.

    • Provide strategic guidance to help clients stay ahead of the digital payment trends and be committed to delivering solutions that make commerce easier.

    Requirements

    • First degree in any relevant field or equivalent is required
    • 5+ years’ cognate experience in financial/payment sector
    • Business to business (B2B) sales experience
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills across different medium;
    • Strong sense of work ethic and business etiquette;
    • Ability to easily grasp technical details especially involving the financial and digital space and translate them into terms that can be understood by your clients;
    • Passionate about technology-based solutions, services, and products.
    • Excellent intercultural competencies and can work with teams and merchants from a diverse background.

    Compliance Officer (Fin Tech)

    Job Description

    • Constantly reviewing and revising Compliance policies, including corporate governance and anti-money laundering.
    • Respond to regulators in relation to AML/Sanctions compliance, consumer protection and data privacy.
    • Develop, implement, and execute the internal compliance training program.
    • Work closely with Legal on all Compliance, Risk Management and Business Development matters across Africa.
    • Liaise with regulators, including coordination for any regulatory on-site inspections across the company’s operating locations.
    • Ensure suspicious transaction reports, screening and KYC are fully investigated in line with regulatory requirements.
    • Support applications for and continuing maintenance of FinTech-related business licenses.
    • Assess various risks such as – country, customer, product and cyber and report to Management and Board.
    • Carry out Company wide AML/TF Internal Risk Assessment.
    • Pre-empt, prevent and correct compliance breaches.
    • Stay updated on industry developments and new FCA, AML and KYC rules and regulations.
    • Provide compliance regulatory risk assessment and program implementation.
    • Escalate regulatory risks and policy breaches or discrepancies, wherever necessary to the appropriate authority.
    • Implement compliance frameworks of digital payment to ensure a smooth launch into new markets and new products.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field
    • Minimum of 3 years’ cognate experience as a Compliance Officer from the financial or fin-tech industry.
    • Experience working in a startup or a fast-paced environment will be a plus.
