    Pie Production Supervisor

    Job Purpose

    • To assist with the production or processing operations.

    Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas
    Production / Operations:

    • Ensure input in the operations of the pie production and other lines.
    • Attend pre-production meetings with production staff to set daily volume targets.
    • Maintain defined product specifications during operations.
    • Continuously improve operating efficiencies and structures to meet changing market demands.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure maintenance of standards, product quality, and hygiene compliance; motivate the team in managing factory production.
    • Ensure total quality management system in the plant, particularly concerning food safety management.
    • Ensure compliance with Quality Manufacturing Standards (ISO 22000 – 2018 Quality System).

    Maintenance:

    • Ensure effective management of resources to meet business goals and objectives.
    • Manage stock (raw material, packaging, and finished goods) in the unit.
    • Manage assets and liabilities in the plant.
    • Monitor the short, medium, and long-term maintenance and servicing of machinery and molds.

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Level of capacity utilization.
    • Rate of overall operating efficiency.
    • Quality of products.
    • Reportable health and safety incidents.

    Requirements

    • A good first degree in business administration, food technology, food and hospitality, or related disciplines.
    • Membership in the Association for Operations Management or any other related professional qualification is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, especially in the Food Industry/FMCG.

    Other Requirements:

    • Knowledge of methods, techniques, or procedures involved in pie production.
    • Knowledge of key trends and developments in the production process.
    • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective production.
    • Knowledge of processes in the Food/QSR Industry.

    Decision Expectations:

    • Ensure input in the operations of the pie production line.
    • Maintain defined product specifications during operations.

    Working Conditions:

    • The jobholder typically works 6 days per week, with production operations complementing store operations, which may involve working during weekends or evenings. This role can be demanding, especially during peak periods such as holidays and festive seasons, as the role holder is responsible for pie production.

    Internal Audit Officer

    Job Purpose

    • Implementation, Monitoring and Coordination

    Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas

    • Ensure and monitor store compliance to Company policies, procedures and systems
    • Report variance and ensure proper follow up
    • Monitor the implementation of internal audit recommendations to ensure the satisfactory resolution of identified significant issues
    • Conduct OSC – Operations Standard Compliance on stores to ensure compliance to store standards
    • Ensure follow up on gaps identified and communicate to Line Manager 
    • Undertake and report on the value for money that the company obtains in all its activities with special regard to economy, efficiency and effectiveness
    • Proactively identify trends and issues from audit findings and formulate recommendations for improving internal controls and addressing identified weaknesses/gaps across all locations/markets in which the company operates
    • Review and report on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the financial and other information provided to management for decision making
    • Monitor the implementation of internal audit recommendations to ensure the satisfactory resolution of identified significant issues 
    • Report on stores compliance to standards 
    • Develop and maintain the company’s Quality Management system, ensuring full compliance with its guidelines and a consolidated uniform approach across the company
    • Assist management in the identification of business improvement opportunities in line with the recommendations of the Quality Policy and provide required assistance in managing projects which are spin-offs of such exercises

    KPI: 

    • No. of store compliance 
    • No. of variance/breaches
    • No. of fraud cases
    • No. of repeat occurrences of Control breaches
    • All other Performance Indicators will be based on performance against agreed objectives

    Requirements
    Functional Competencies / Requirements:

    • Good knowledge of computerized accounting and auditing record keeping systems
    • An ability to maintain current knowledge of developments related to business matters of interest to internal audit, particularly legislation changes and developments as they affect the Food Industry, and new auditing techniques and practices
    • Fundamentals of Accounting

    General Management Competencies / Requirements:

    Educational Qualifications / Experience:

    • Minimum of university degree or its equivalent in related discipline
