    Executive Director - Operations

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Provide holistic leadership to the Risk Management, Customer Care, Benefits, and Operations departments.
    • Champion talent management through coaching, enforcing Manager accountability, and delivering constructive feedback.
    • Introduce efficient systems, structures, and policies to optimize impact across supervised departments.
    • Monitor team performance to ensure optimal resource utilization.

    Head, Strategy and Risk Management

    Responsibilities

    • Long term capital raising activities, leveraging, Institutional Investors, Foreign/Local financiers, capital market etc.
    • Administration of Enterprise Risk Management Framework for the Bank

    Qualifications
    Professional Qualification / Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Legal (Master’s Degree is an additional advantage)
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of verified professional experience in risk management with at least 4 years in managerial capacity in a PFA business.
    • Local and international certifications in risk management, such as Certificate in Risk Management (CIRM), ACA. ACCA. CIMA etc.
    • Significant experience in financial services particularly in the areas of risk management, internal audit, strategic planning and governance frameworks with at least 5 years’ hand- on experience.
    • A background in banking, actuary or insurance is essential.
    • Experience with credit risk guarantees/insurance and exposure to development issues is desirable.
    • Ability to exercise and perform oversight functions over governance, risk, compliance and control arrangements in a complex financial operation.
    • Proven ability to evaluate a number of risk types, ideally including credit risk, operational risk, market risk, liquidity risk, reputational risk, legal risk, compliance risk, AML risks, information security risk, concentration risk, investment risk, and strategic risk.
    • Strong understanding of enterprise risk management concepts, frameworks to proactively identify risks inherent in business operations that can have negative strategic implications for the organization
    • Strong knowledge of portfolio risk management techniques, e.g. key risk metrics for players in the financial markets, capital management, database management, risk analysis etc.

    Academic Qualification & Work Experience

    • A First Degree or equivalent in Accounting. Must be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
    • Must have at least 10 years cognate experience in Audit and Tax management, Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite,
    • Must be a registered professional with the Financial Reporting Council
    • Must have worked at least 5 years at managerial position of a reputable financial institution.
