    Community Associate

    About the job

    • We’re searching for a highly motivated and experienced Community associate to join our team.
    • The role will play a vital part in driving growth around our community initiatives, building and engaging our ever-growing community of girls and women in technology across Africa.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute community engagement strategies to increase participation and retention of community members
    • Build and manage our hybrid communities through the community platform, events, and other engagement channels
    • Work alongside team to implement community-building initiatives, such as meetups, webinars, and hackathons, making adjustments where necessary to ensure successful delivery
    • Actively engage and respond to community feedback and questions in ample time
    • Co-Lead planning and execution of community events and initiatives targeted at community members
    • Identify and track key metrics to measure community engagement and success
    • Efficiently interpret data and insights from community to advance engagement strategies
    • Collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders to promote She Code Africa and its mission
    • Work with a cross-functional team to deliver community focused projects and programs on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders, while driving growth & expansion.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-2 years of experience in community management or a related field
    • Passion for technology education and social impact
    • Experience working with pan-african developer communities, a plus working with women-in-tech focused communities
    • Strong understanding of hybrid developer community building and engagement strategies
    • Strong community management skills, including experience with project & program planning, budgeting, resource allocation and proficiency in community data & insights interpretation
    • Strong content writing content management skills
    • Strong proficiency in G-suite
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Familiarity or experience working with or in non-profit organizations is a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Fluency in English is required

    Program Associate

    Key Responsibility

    • As a program associate, you will;
    • Work with the Programs team to successfully execute program initiatives focused on She Code Africa’s mission and vision
    • Develop and maintain project and program plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
    • Work with a cross-functional team to deliver assigned project(s) and program(s) on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders, while driving growth & expansion.
    • Identify and manage risks and issues, while developing and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure success of assigned program(s)
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners or funders
    • Create program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of program plans
    • Carry out relevant and consistent research to identify available program funding opportunities and evaluate the results
    • Continuously monitor project and program progress, and make adjustments where necessary to ensure successful delivery
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners
    • Ensure compliance with project and program management standards and best practices
    • Provide accurate and timely report of program status throughout its life cycles
    • Manage program facilitators and volunteers where required across specified locations.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 1- 2 year experience in program management, bonus point if you have a proven track record of leading large-scale training projects and programs
    • Strong program management skills, including experience with project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
    • Excellent communication, documentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Experience with project management software and tools
    • Proven organizational and project/program management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong proficiency in G-suite
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Familiarity or experience working within Non-profit organizations on program and event planning is a plus.

    Operations Associate

    Key Responsibilities 

    As the Operations Associate, you will;

    • Work with the Operations Manager to support  the day-day operations of the organization, including Coordinating and managing various administrative tasks, budget management, and record-keeping, employee management etc
    • Provide operational support to the team in the development and implementation of new initiatives and programs
    • Assist in planning and executing organization wide events, conferences, and workshops, while managing event logistics.
    • Drive conversations with operational vendors and stakeholders on behalf of the organization
    • Work with team to manage recruiting efforts of the organization,
    • Maintain an updated record of all internal team documentation such as the annual year reports, financial statements, yearly budget etc
    • Collaborating directly with respective teams across the organization to ensure smooth communication and updates on given tasks.

    Qualifications

    • 1-2 active years of experience in Operations or a similar management role
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Documentation and record keeping
    • Strong attention to detail, Ability to work well under pressure and handle confidential information with discretion
    • Ability to work independently, multitask and prioritize effectively
    • Strong Proficiency in G-Suite and relevant comms tools and resources
    • A passion for non-profit work and a commitment to She Code Africa's mission of empowering and inspiring women in Africa to pursue careers in technology.
    • Familiarity or experience working with or in non-profit organizations is a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Fluency in English is required.

    Social Media Associate

    Key Responsibilities

    • Being proactive to ensure that She Code Africa (SCA) is a part of important conversations related to African women in tech and STEM, Technology, Career, and life
    • Develop and implement social media strategies and campaigns that align with the organisation’s goals.
    • Grow the number of followers and page engagement, while monitoring and analysing social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Lead weekly strategic meetings on content direction for all social platforms
    • Collaborate with respective teams to ensure that social media and content strategies are aligned with overall goals, to boost community and programs growth. 
    • Establish and deliver social community engagement goals on a weekly and monthly basis
    • Utilize data and analytics to drive decision making and advise social content and editorial decisions
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices within the industry to ensure that the organisation’s social media presence remains fresh and engaging.
    • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and ad creation.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with community influencers and other partners to expand the company's social media reach.
    • Oversee and complete social content production and editing every week
    • Develop new concepts and series for our audience and seek out contributors
    • Listen to our users and encourage dialogue on our social platforms to grow awareness, engagement and followers count
    • Create and publish high-quality content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

    Qualifications

    • At least 1-2 years of active experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
    • Strong writing skills and the ability to create engaging content that aligns with the organisation’s brand voice and image.
    • Knowledge of social media advertising and analytics platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and Twitter Analytics.
    • Familiarity with SEO best practices and how they relate to content development.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and strong project management skills.
    • Passion for technology and education and experience working women focused organisations and communities
    • Strong proficiency in G-suite
    • Familiarity or experience working with or in non-profit organizations is a plus
    • Fluency in English is required

    Design Associate

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain She Code Africa’s visual identity and brand guidelines.
    • Create engaging designs for various platforms, including websites, social media, print materials, and digital presentations.
    • Collaborate with designers within the media, marketing & communications team to develop design concepts for campaigns and initiatives.
    • Ensure consistency in design elements across all platforms.
    • Stay up-to-date with design trends and industry best practices.
    • Contribute to the overall design strategy of the organization.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a year experience in Graphics design.
    • Strong portfolio of design work demonstrating skills in graphic design, typography, and visual branding.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
    • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
    • Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity or experience working with or in non-profit organizations is a plus.
    • Understanding of design principles and brand guidelines.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Fluency in English is required.
    • Passion for empowering African women and creating social impact.
