    Engineer - IP Security Operations

    Reports To: Manager, IP Security Operations

    Division: Network

    Mission

    To continuously drive MTNN Businesses/Services in achieving it’s set objectives and protect these services from internal and External threats while ensuring Quality of service, Compliance to Security standards, Availability, Confidentiality, Integrity and Ensuring better customer experience.

    Description

    • Manage and maintain all network security platforms and their associated software, such as  Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention, Load balancers, Anti-Dos, Anti-Spam, Syslog, Remote Access and other security appliances
    • Ensure active Management of IPS/IDS, Web Filtering, Application controls, DDOS, Firewall, WAF, VPN, Load balancers and every other Technologies are in line with Security practices.
    • Development of scripts for automation of tasks and deployments, using Python, Shell, Ansible or any other network programmability solution.
    • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the areas of IPS, Load balancers, WAF, Anti-DOS, Anti-SPAM, Remote access, NAT, Security Information, Event management, and Next Generation Firewalls with product specific knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint and Fortinet Firewalls.
    • Provides technical support for new integration, incident and fault resolution.
    •  Experience with Networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, NAT, Access-list, IPSec/SSL VPN, Remote access, IPS and ADC)
    • Proactive monitoring and daily health check on network security infrastructure. Ensuring and adhering to security best practices.
    • Coordinate and monitor log analysis on all network security nodes, to ensure service availability and security requirements are met.
    • Ensure compliance to existing security policies and best practices are adhered to from a network Security Perspective.
    • Participates in security infrastructure audit activities and provides evidence as required
    • Contribute to the development, maintenance and periodic testing of disaster recovery plans ensuring business continuity for all core services and critical applications
    • Ensure proper integration of new network security elements at the regions and acceptance testing
    • Ensure proper implementation of change requests/planned activities.
    • Monitor performance statistics and generate weekly reports.
    • Ensure routine maintenance and housekeeping (records, back-ups etc.) on all network security nodes within the region
    • Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.

    Education:

    • Fluent in English
    • First degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology/Cybersecurity or Electrical /Electronic Engineering

    Experience:

    • Minimum of Five (5) Years of Network and Information Technology Security Experience.
    • In-depth understanding of NAT, VPNs, Application Security, WAF, DNS, Web Security, DDOS, Anti-spam, Access-list, Netflow, IPS/IDS, Log Analysis and Routing over varied platform such as Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Fortinet and F5.
    • A minimum of Four (4) years of experience supporting and monitoring network security systems in telecommunication company, managing IPS, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Syslog/SIEM, Remote Access and other critical network security appliances.
    • Familiar with scripting languages and/or automation tools (python, ansible, netmiko etc.)
    • In-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity, attack methodology and security incident management.
    • Good understanding of Risk Management, Security controls and standards.
    • Broad experience handling a variety of Network Security operational tools, monitoring, executive dashboard reporting and data analysis

    Personal Assistant - CCRO

    Reports To: Chief Corporate Services Officer (CCSO)

    Division: Corporate Services

    Description

    • Act as the point of contact to the Executive, handling and distributing confidential mails, telephone calls, faxes, etc.
    • Develop and maintain an efficient documentation and filing (electronic and hard) process.
    • Manage sensitive matters and information regarding peculiar issues within the department.
    • Co-ordinate and manage Executive calendars, travel arrangements and schedules, negotiating potential conflicts and determining     feasible alternatives.
    • Perform a diversity of secretarial and administrative support activities including composing memos and correspondences, compiling reports, creation of spreadsheets and manipulation of spreadsheet data.
    • Cross-examine documents for Exec’s review to ensure quality control and compliance to MTNN policies.
    • Collate monthly activity reports from the different units within the assigned department for the Exec’s review.
    • Perform quality control checks on assigned Exec’s presentations, to ensure proper formatting and elimination of errors.
    • Process all requisitions for the assigned Exec’s office.
    • Respond to customer (Internal/external) queries and requests on non-technical issues and escalate to the assigned manager / exec when necessary.
    • Prepare meeting/conference logistics and host visitors on behalf of the Executive.

    Education:

    • First  degree in any related discipline 
    • Fluent in English 

    Experience:

    • 1-3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience working with others
    • Experience working in a medium-sized organization

    Manager - Sales and Trade Development FCT

    Reports To: Senior Manager Sales and Trade Development

    Division: Sales and Distribution 

    Description

    • Execute the retail strategy in the territory to achieve the objective of retail expansion, dominance, mind share and loyalty in the region.
    • Identify, create and execute Communal & Goodwill events and sponsorship initiatives in the region to drive affinity and localization of the MTN brand in the region.
    • Research and provide feedback reports on competitor activity, network quality, peculiar market situations and any issues affecting the marketing of MTNN products in the region
    • Support the Shareholder return strategy by developing and implementing Sales & Distribution Processes that are aligned to achieving all elements on the business scorecard. (I.e. Grow Market Share, Grow ICT & Data Revenue, Increase EBITDA margins, Assure Revenue, CAPEX Returns Management and Net Subscriber Additions). 
    • Participate in the review of Business Processes (headcount, process optimisation, etc.), to drive efficiency gains to ensure at least 5% reduction in Divisional budget year-on-year. 
    • Serve the Division’s internal customers and provide solutions to improve the customer experience.
    • Strategic Partnerships with MTNN leadership team to drive awareness on expected behaviors and impact on non-compliance on bottom-line results and company image/reputation. 
    • Drive planned strategy for the successful delivery of MTN Group and MTNN transformation initiatives focusing on Customer centricity, including Perfect 10 Project.
    • Drive an increase in MTNN’s Net Promoter Score.
    • Plan and manage supplier relationships with Distribution companies and customer relationships. 
    • Collaborate cross-functionally – NWG, Marketing, Enterprise Solution, CR, in the regional and territorial engine rooms to ensure commercial alignment in achieving the objectives of revenue, profitability & market share in the sub-region.
    • Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g. strategic investors, technical and finance partners, business consultants etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers.
    • Coordinate, coach and influence external partners and essential support departments across MTNN’s business units to deliver a seamless pre-sales and post-sales service experience.
    • Achieve BTL visibility objectives across all outlet types and categories in the region through the effective planning and execution of merchandising.
    • Review analysis of regional marketing surveys on current and new product concepts and recommend future product development within the region.
    • Develop and execute territory-specific trade marketing initiatives to ensure achievement of the business objectives in the region.
    • Develop and manage profitable and sustainable partnerships to achieve our data device and mobile money objectives in the territory.
    • Ensure standard look and feel across all MTN retail outlet types in the territory
    • Ensure effective communication of the MTN brand and proposition at the retail layer of the distribution channel
    • Assist in establishing and maintaining a consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events.
    • Coordinate the presence and relationship of MTNN with stakeholders and policymakers at the Regional levels.
    • Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.  
    • Coach and train the team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.
    • Review performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
    • Identify training requirements of team members, develop program to address knowledge gaps and implement training interventions for retail participants to ensure adequate knowledge of MTNN products.

    Education:

    • First  degree in any related discipline 
    • Fluent in English
    • Possession of a Master’s degree may be an advantage

    Experience:

    6- 13 years’ experience which includes:

    • Minimum of 3 years experience in an area of specialisation; with experience in supervising/managing others
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization
    • marketing management experience within the telecommunications, FMCG’s or ‘new age’ service industry
