    Motor Underwriting Expert

    Job Description

    • Ensure the management of the Motor Underwriting functions.
    • Support development and execution of Underwriting strategy for LoB (s)
    • Contribute to the development of business relationships with intermediaries and clients to achieve the company objectives and satisfy the clients’ needs.
    • Within the limits of his/ her underwriting authorities, process quotations for which the underwriting authorities of the underwriters are exceeded.
    • Underwrite and negotiate the business according to the underwriting authority, department’s risk appetite, and “The Allianz Way of Underwriting"
    • Define the underwriting’s modalities of a contract (agreement, pricing, guaranties).
    • Coordinate with the production service to draw up the contract drafts for important/complex businesses. 
    • Monitor the achievements of development plans established by the underwriters.
    • Develop sufficient market insights and trend awareness for markets and clients to become a competent sparring partner for specific questions regarding Motor UW.
    • Consult stakeholders for development of LoB specific global strategy, i.e. Global P&C and ASU office for guideline matters or referral UW.
    • Develop concepts to implement technical excellence in UW matters.
    • Ensure UW consistency and discipline as well as adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels.
    • Strive for high qualitative results in respective LoB / area and coordinates with other service areas of the organization to ensure superior client service.
    • Drive local portfolio management, including analysis to monitor profitability and growth, and recommend aspects requiring change or remedial action.
    • Support proposition development and transfer through ownership of the control framework.
    • Be responsible for the placement of all facultative business of AZNGs with the target to  reduce premium leakage outside the Group. Coordinate the frontings For AGCS and other  Allianz entities.                                                        

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in the insurance industry. 
    • CIIN is an added advantage.
    • Pricing and Market Management skills. 
    • Complex problem solving and decision-making skills.
    • Strategic and Operational Leadership skills.
    • Contract Drafting and Interpretation skills. 
    • Excellent Negotiation skill.

    P&C Claims Expert

    Job Description

    • Manage P&C claims according to regulation, internal and group procedures. 
    • Provide advice on making a claim and the process involved.
    • Process new insurance claims notifications and collecting accurate information and  documents to proceed with a claim.
    • Assist in audits of external service providers as appropriate.
    • Settle standard claims through payment or denial.
    • Negotiate to ensure efficient and competitive settlement.
    • Ensure unpursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines.
    • Participate in the constitution of the claims' committees and prepare reports to management.
    • Coordinate between claims operational services and the support activities.
    • Investigate and evaluate legal liability and identify the appropriate recovery strategy.
    • Ensure an efficient salvage management by achieving the salvage initiative plan.
    • Develop training material and deliver presentations to new employees and agents.
    • Determine appropriate reserving levels.
    • Ensure the success of the recovery actions.    

    Job Requirements

    • Min. 3 years’ experience in claims, underwriting, and technical functions with an insurance company or any related field.
    • Bachelor's degree in insurance, Business, Risk management or related field.

    Motor Claims Expert

    Job Description

    • Ensure all claims handled within authority limits are in line with AZ claims standard  procedure and guidelines.
    • Refer cases outside of authority level, preparing referral documentation and materials as  appropriate.
    • Support establishment of claims management procedures on new business account in 
    • association with clients, brokers and loss adjusters
    • Settle standard claims through payment or denial
    • Ensure unpursued claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines.
    • Contribute to the achievement of of OE claims related objectives (loss ratio, reserves etc)
    • Evaluate legal liabilities and identify the appropriate recovery strategy and options
    • Achieve recovery and salvage objectives set out in the plan
    • Proactively discuss and review contentious, large and complex claims with fellow handlers and management to obtain opinions/feedback.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in claims, underwriting, and technical functions with an insurance company or any related field.
    • Bachelor's degree in insurance, Business, Risk management or related field.
