    Senior DevOps Engineer

    Roles and responsibilities

    • Implement various testing and automation tools, and commission IT infrastructure
    • Provision, Configure, & De-Provision Environments via Automation
    • Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
    • Apply troubleshooting techniques and advise on fixing code bugs
    • Ensure developers adheres to defined DevOps processes and update or create new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
    • Develop appropriate metrics to demonstrate system performance and agility using appropriate monitoring tools to improve operational efficiency.
    • Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
    • Recognize and adopt best practices in documentation, testing, security, operations and support at scale and efficient use of resources.
    • Perform incidence management and root cause analysis
    • Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools
    • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
    • Understand teams’ requirements and project KPIs

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of industry experience in a similar role
    • Bachelors or higher in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
    • Experience with CI/CD Platforms (Azure DevOps is a Plus)
    • Strong exposure working with at least one of GCP, AWS & Microsoft Azure (preferably Azure & AWS)
    • Solid experience with ElasticSearch, Datadog, Sentry
    • Good understanding of technologies like Ansible, Terraform etc
    • Experience with Kubernetes orchestration and management
    • Exposure maintaining and support monitoring and alerting systems
    • Working experience supporting and troubleshooting relational databases and distributed platform
    • Working knowledge of monitoring and event management tool Implementations
    • Basic system administration and Linux skills

    Head of Sales

    Role Overview

    Your mission is to build and lead a world-class sales team from scratch, relentlessly focusing on growing the number of businesses using the Kuda Business platform.

    The Head of Sales is a vital sales leadership role at Kuda Microfinance Bank. You will play a central role in developing Kuda's commercial footprint in Nigeria. Based out of Lagos, you will help grow our customer base in the territory by coordinating prospecting efforts into target industries and verticals.
    Leading from the front, you will build a high-performing team, coach and mentor them to success, localize the sales playbook, and drive growth in your assigned territory.

    Responsibilities

    • Communicating effectively the value proposition by focusing on a solution-based sales process
    • Contacting prospective customers from a defined territory/vertical to discuss Kuda's business product
    • Build a sales team from scratch, setting KPIs & financial targets designed to scale at speed
    • Managing DSAs' sales funnels to ensure maximum performance on the following:
      • Identifying potential new clients through a variety of mediums and identifying their decision makers
      • Identifying, managing & executing on the client journey through the sales funnel
    • Leading a team of 2-3 Sales Executives and a minimum of 10 DSAs (Direct Sales Agents), owning all aspects of performance & development
    • Championing your product and market knowledge to promote Kuda's offering

    Requirements

    • 5+ years experience in sales or business development
    • 2+ years experience as a high performing Team Leader, Head of Sales, Head of Business Development or Country Manager
    • Experience with SMEs, preferably with a track record of sales to this segment
    • Successfully built or scaled sales departments in a high growth environment catered to SMEs
    • Experience in managing a team, setting compensation and performance-based metrics
    • Experience coaching and mentoring junior sales staff
    • Experience with both inbound and outbound (telesales)

    Advantageous:

    • Experience in FMCG or Finance sectors

    Information Systems Control Analyst

    The Role

    Responsible for managing IT operational processes, monitor and control access to information assets. Additionally, perform detailed evaluation of information systems and track technology compliance with various international standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitoring and Assessment of Products, Applications, Processes and Databases
    • Identifying weaknesses within the organization's information systems, processes and infrastructure and ensure the implementation of measures to minimize such risks

    Head of Enterprise Risk

    The Role

    • We are seeking an experienced Head of Enterprise Risk to oversee the development and execution of our organization's enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
    • The Head of Enterprise Risk will be responsible for implementing robust risk management practices to identify, assess, monitor, and report on key risks across the organization.
    • This critical leadership role will partner with senior management and the Board of Directors to provide strategic insights on risk exposures and risk mitigation strategies.
    • The ideal candidate will be an expert in designing risk programs and possess strong analytical abilities to derive meaningful findings from risk data.
    • An influential leader, the Head of Enterprise Risk will collaborate cross-functionally to institute a risk-aware culture throughout the company.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop, execute, and continuously improve the organization's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategy, framework, policies, and procedures to align with industry best practices.
    • Build an organization-wide culture of effective risk management, accountability, and demonstration of risk awareness across the organization.
    • Oversee the identification, documentation, analysis, prioritization, monitoring, and reporting of key strategic, operational, financial, compliance, cyber, third-party, and emerging risks through qualitative and quantitative risk assessments. Maintain risk register.
    • Lead the annual Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) process from end to end, including facilitating risk interviews, surveys, and workshops with stakeholders, compiling risk inventory, analyzing risk data, and developing risk profiles. Synthesize findings into an EWRA report detailing top risks and recommendations for senior management and the Board of Directors.
    • Advise the organization on strategic risk forecasting and provide recommendations to transfer, accept, or mitigate strategic risk.
    • Design and implement risk management tools, templates, and training programs to build risk management capabilities across the organization. Conduct training sessions to enhance risk awareness among employees.
    • Develop a risk-based internal audit plan focused on high-risk areas and over time, expand audit coverage. Provide guidance to internal auditors on risk assessment methodology and documentation.
    • Establish and produce risk reporting for key stakeholders including risk dashboards, risk reports, materials for quarterly Risk Committee meetings, and annual disclosures.
    • Lead the Third Party Risk Management program leveraging a risk-based approach to assess and monitor vendors and partners. Maintain vendor risk register. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, Security, and Product on vendor due diligence, contract negotiation, and ongoing monitoring.
    • Partner with the information security team on cyber risk management initiatives. Incorporate cyber risks into the ERM framework and reporting.
    • Develop business continuity and resilience plans based on business impact analyses and risk assessments. Coordinate annual testing of plans through tabletop exercises and drills. Lead crisis response in the event of a disruption, managing incident response team.
    • Continuously monitor industry trends and developments related to risk management standards and regulations. Enhance ERM processes to align with regulations and best practices.
    • Work with the departments to hire, manage, and develop team of risk professionals. Set goals and development plans. Foster an engaging team culture.

    Requirements

    •  7-10+ years experience developing and implementing ERM programs, with prior management experience
    • Expert knowledge of leading risk management frameworks including COSO, ISO 31000, RIMS Risk Maturity Model, and NACD Risk Oversight Guidelines
    • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative risk assessment methodologies
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to derive insights from risk data across diverse risk areas 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills. Able to distill complex risk concepts for broad audiences.
    • Detail-oriented project management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
    • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Relevant risk certification such as CRISC, CISA, or FRM strongly preferred.
    • Prior experience in financial services, technology, or consulting industries a plus

    Head of Credit Risk

    Role Overview

    We are currently searching for a dynamic Head of Credit Risk to lead the Credit Risk team, spearhead the implementation and execute Kuda's Credit Risk policies. 

    You’ll have the opportunity to drive streamlined collection practices and actively contribute to the development of relevant policies and protocols.

    In addition, you’ll get to ensure precise reporting and strict adherence to Credit product practices within Nigeria. 

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the Credit Risk team, end-to-end strategy roadmap and execution 
    • Ensure proactive advocacy and steadfast adherence to Credit policies
    • Design Credit policies tailored to the unique dynamics of Kuda MFB in Nigeria
    • Build and operate the underwriting function for both consumer and business credit
    • Managing a team of underwriters, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure consistency and adherence to established underwriting standards
    • Spearhead active and compliant collection practices, demonstrating a commitment to regulatory standards and guidelines 
    • Lead the strategic implementation of Credit initiatives within the Nigerian market, aligning efforts with organizational objectives
    • Establish, build and actively manage various relationships with external partners

    Requirements

    • 10+ years of experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership position specifically within Credit Risk Management
    • Extensive background in financial services or Fintech, underscoring a deep understanding of the industry's nuances and dynamics
    • Solid understanding of Credit regulation within the Nigeria banking industry
    • In-depth hands-on expertise in the administration of Credit Risk policies, the Credit underwriting process, Credit Risk scoring methodologies, and precise calculation of unit costs for risk products
    • BSc in Accounting, Economics, Banking, Finance and Commerce (or relevant fields)
