    Electrical Technician

    Job Description

    • To ensure safety of commissioning activities on yard and on site, by performing activities in respect with Company standing instruction and Work Permit instructions.
    • To ensure that the work identified in the work permit is performed according to company specification.

    Commissioning execution:

    • Performs on site the commissioning operations (test and check sheets ) which are placed under his responsibility.
    • Ensures that the COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits)
    • Witnessing of contractor pre-commissioning activities as defined by the supervisor.
    • Raise and clear punch List items.
    • Report any non-conformity to the discipline Supervisor
    • Reporting and progress follow up
    • Report daily activities to the supervisor

    Expectations
    Minimum Qualification: Technician:

    • Education Level : High School or Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study)
    • Experience: 3 years in a similar position
    • Mandatory Competences: English/ Electrical engineering/Electrical equipment Commissioning (MCC, Switchboards , panels… )
    • Recommended Competences: Commissioning / ICAPS / OPERCOM

    Recommended Competences: Commissioning:

    • Petroleum: Have a basic understanding of facilities / process (from well to export). Be knowledgeable of hydrocarbons behaviour and associated risks (explosion, asphyxia…).
    • Computer: Be able to produce a report using Microsoft Word; be able to perform simple calculation with Microsoft Excel. Have been introduced to the use of the internet and e-mails.
    • Physics: Understanding and use of basic laws and units of physic (resistance, inductance, DC & AC current and voltage, frequency, active and reactive power…). Be able to differentiate low and high voltages.

    Engineering:

    • Be able to read and use drawings (single line and schematic diagrams), vendor documents, name plate. Be knowledgeable of electrical symbols.
    • Possess notions on cable sizing and voltage dropping.
    • Be able familiar with a general facilities electrical network philosophy: main generation, emergency generator, switchboard and UPS. Have a basic understanding of inter-tripping and interlocking action, load shedding and load sharing modes..

    Equipment:

    • Understand working principle of main electrical equipment: voltage & current transformers, electrical motor, alternator, feeder, UPS, battery, speed inverter soft starter and gradator, HV/LV switchboard, lighting and heat tracing panel
    • Understand principles and know the different systems of earthing (IT, TT, TN and DC unearthed system).
    • Have a basic knowledge of working principle of a PLC. Logic diagram with module: AND/OR, NAND/NOR, clock, delay, latch, memory, microprocessor... Understand inhibit, alarm and trip concepts.
    • Understand the principle of electrical protection: short circuit, over load, earth fault, reverse power, transformer, alternator and motor specific protections.
    • Be knowledgeable on explosion proof materiel and associated requirements.
    • Be able to identify all cubicles and their equipment. Understand interlocking systems in between cubicles. Practical skills
    • Know how to select and use the available and necessary hand tools for electrician (including special insulated tools).
    • Correct use and handling of multimeters, clip on ammeters, Ohmmeter, earth tester (megger), earth leakage kit and recorder.

    Job Description

    • The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will prepare, develop and analyse key financial information to ensure that an organisation’s management makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability.
    • He will establish financial policies and management information systems and maintain accurate and complete financial records.
    • He will also provide a high quality support service by liaising with management colleagues on all aspects of finance.
    • The role combines accounting skills with business management skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
    • Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
    • Review the financial data and information, update it, to identify inconsistencies and take remedial actions and to provide assistance to direct the operation of financial activities
    • Ensure timely reconciliation of all accounts, to verify its accuracy by tracking and monitoring the financial records, etc.
    • Monitor the debtors and ensure that collections are consistent within the given time limit

    • Manage the day to day accounting activities by ensuring adherence to the organisational rules and regulations and statutory compliance

    Expectations

    • Candidate should be a Certified Management Accountant
    • 10+ years of progressively financial responsibility
    • At least 5 years of experience as CFO / Finance Director in a multinational FMCG or specialty chemical company
    • Previous work experience in Nigeria will be a plus
    • Excellent written and oral English
    • Complete mastery on accounting theories and principles
    • Candidate must be comfortable with handling complex computations and huge numerical data
    • Ability to manage and prioritise work according to requirements
    • Effective leadership and communication skills
    • Excellent planning, analytical and time management skills

    Instrumentation Supervisor

    Safety and Operations Management:

    • In charge to supervise yard and site execution as described in the Work permit. Ensure that :
    • The risks and safety precautions highlighted in the work permit are well understood by his team,
    • Check the place for any additional risks not identified in the work permit and report to his superintendent any hazardous deviation,
    • Perform pre-job meeting, check that the tools and PPE are in good condition,
    • Check that all required authorization to perform the job are granted,
    • Ensure that Company Standing instruction, Site Operating procedure, and additional operating procedure such as SIMOPS are known by the team and enforced,
    • Ensure that cleaning is done after completion of the work and the place is left safe.
    • Has full authority to stop the job of any member of his team in case of hazardous situation or unsafe behavior.
    • Stop any hazardous situation and immediately report to the site RSES.

    Commissioning execution:

    • Supervise the Witnessing of contractor pre-commissioning activities by his team of technicians, as defined by the superintendent. Ensure that the witnessing is made in a professional way; evaluate the skills of the people performing the pre-commissioning. Ensure that witnessing activities do not delay contractor activities more than necessary.
    • Manage a small team of technicians to ensure that the work identified in the WP is performed in a professional manner, in respect with company specification.
    • Evaluate technical skills of his team members and help them to develop their skills on new equipment and technologies
    • Organize the work and the team to get the job done with quality and avoid waste of time: manpower, logistic, tools, authorization, spare parts, documents…
    • Raise and clear punch List items. Report any nonconformity to his superintendent.
    • Validate Commissioning test and check sheets before superintendent approval.
    • Verifies the quality of his teams’ interventions by frequent on-site checks

    Reporting and progress follow up:

    • Report daily activities to the superintendent.

    Expectations

    • Minimum Qualification: Engineer
    • Education Level: Master's Degree or Higher National Diploma
    • Experience: 5-10 years in a similar position
