    Business Development Manager - Maritime Electronics Systems

    Who We're Looking For:

    • We're seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong background in maritime operations and electronics systems.
    • This is an exciting opportunity for an IT-savvy Bridge Officer looking to transition to an office-based role or a maritime academy graduate eager to apply their knowledge in a dynamic business development setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in maritime electronics.
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.
    • Understand client needs and recommend tailored maritime electronics solutions.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver seamless service.
    • Prepare persuasive proposals, bids, and presentations for clients.

    Executive Assistant and Legal Officer

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Assistant and Legal Officer to support the Managing Director and oversee legal matters within the organization.
    • The ideal candidate will provide administrative assistance, manage day-to-day operations, and handle legal duties to ensure compliance and protect the company’s interests.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Executive Support:

    • Provide high-level administrative support to the Managing Director, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing reports.
    • Organize and maintain the Managing Director’s calendar, ensuring efficient time management and prioritization of tasks.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and itineraries for business trips.
    • Prepare presentations, meeting agendas, and take minutes during executive meetings.
    • Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

    Legal Duties:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with legal standards and company policies.
    • Advise on legal risks and liabilities, providing recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
    • Ensure the company is compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements, including filings with relevant authorities.
    • Liaise with external legal counsel on complex legal matters, disputes, or litigation.
    • Keep up to date with legal developments and ensure that the company is informed about changes in regulations or laws that could affect its operations.

    Administrative Responsibilities:

    • Oversee office operations, including procurement of supplies, managing correspondence, and handling communication with external vendors.
    • Assist in project management and follow up on deliverables to ensure timely completion of tasks.
    • Provide support in the preparation and submission of official documents to government bodies or clients as required.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or related field.
    • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian corporate and contract law.
    • Knowledge of UK corporate and contract law is a plus
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in the tech or engineering sector is a plus.
    • Familiarity with the tech, maritime and energy sectors in Nigeria.
