    Regional Sales Manager

    Job Description

    • The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading and managing the sales team in a specific geographical region.
    • The RSM ensures the achievement of sales targets, growth, and profitability by developing strategic sales plans, managing key accounts, and driving customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities
    Sales Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Create and manage sales plans and forecasts.

    Team Leadership and Management:

    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives.
    • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans for team members.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and customers.
    • Address customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

    Sales Performance Monitoring:

    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and KPIs.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
    • Identify and address areas of improvement in the sales process.

    Market Expansion and Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop promotional campaigns and product launches.
    • Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote the company’s products and services.

    Budget and Resource Management:

    • Manage the regional sales budget effectively.
    • Allocate resources to maximize sales opportunities and ROI.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedure

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    Sales Revenue:

    • Achievement of regional sales targets and revenue goals.
    • Year-over-year sales growth percentage.

    Market Penetration:

    • Number of new accounts acquired in the region.
    • Market share increase in the region.

    Customer Satisfaction:

    • Customer satisfaction scores (e.g., Net Promoter Score, customer feedback).
    • Customer retention and repeat business rates.

    Team Performance:

    • Sales team performance against targets.
    • Employee engagement and retention rates within the sales team.
    • Training and development progress of team members.

    Sales Efficiency:

    • Average sales cycle length.
    • Conversion rates from leads to sales.
    • Cost of sales relative to revenue generated.

    Profitability:

    • Gross profit margins on regional sales.
    • Contribution to overall company profitability from the region.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields (MBA preferred).
    • 5 - 7 proven years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar role.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
    • In-depth knowledge of market trends, competitors, and industry dynamics.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
    • Ability to travel within the region as needed.

    Working Conditions:

    • The role is typically office-based, but remote work options may be available.
    • Standard business hours apply, with some flexibility required for urgent issues or projects.
